Why you even on this thread?
Not every phone is compatible with it.
Also, small dongle is better and more convenient then Daisy chain from a phone to a switch.
Because I was looking to buy one loader then realised it's not required. Once you have enabled autorcm I find no use. My switch is always on sleep mode. Only when I need to shutdown I need to inject payload. Latest kosmos let's you reboot without having to inject payload.

But you still need to daisy chain from your phone and use converter to launch a payload, and a payload is smaller and no need to carry a cable.

Anyway, this is not a vs thread, you use any method you preferred.

Agreed it's not a vs thread. But if you have a USB c type phone then no need to daisy chain.

You should watch a video on how simple rekado is. Even with my phone in locked state I just connect the cable and boom payload is injected. I don't need to unlock the phone nor launch the app.

I have the NS Atmosphere and the RCMloader. While the latter looks a lot cooler, and has the ability to change payloads (pointless imo when you can just chain-load), the NS Atmosphere seems to be a lot gentler on the USB-C port so I end up using it exclusively.

Looks like the newegg page was deleted already. Didn't take long. I have both injectors too, and I agree the NS-Atmosphere one is much easier to insert in the USB-C port. But only one payload. RCMLoader has multi payloads, and is smaller (and it does look cooler). Aliexpress is where I bought both, but they're doing a really good job of deleting the sellers' pages. This thread still has a valid link to order RCMLoader One: https://gbatemp.net/threads/best-dongle-for-the-switch.545099/

Impressive/spooky the pull Nintendo has with these Chinese sites full of sketchy copyright-flouting merch.

Agreed! And since when is using homebrew on your bought console illegal? I know some people use these injectors to pirate, but there are some who only use legal homebrew apps. I'm sure this 1% exists somewhere!

depending on which country you're in - yes, using homebrew is illegal since you need to bypass security to run the homebrew. plenty of companies was those laws enforced in all countries, so they then can limit hacking and pirating on their devices.

Different schools of thought, I guess. If a buy a console, I should be able to do whatever I want with it. If I hack it and it bricks in the process, I'll take it like a man and won't complain to the manufacturer. My loss. Whenever I buy a digital book from amazon, the first thing I do is remove the DRM from the file. I want to do whatever I want with something I bought.

you can have whatever school of thought you like. However, in the countries where it is illegal to modufy any device you purchase, then you would be wrong. Simple as that. That is why there are such big court cases being tried around the world to fight or maintain the right to modify something you buy.

it's like your vast digital libraries of games, music, movies etc. you own them right? Nope.. you rent them at best. Forget about telling your children your password and bequeathing it to them in your will. It all goes back to the content owner when you die. It's not quite the pay per use than Sony especially were trying to push onto the market back in the late 90s, but it's close to it.

I know this thread is pretty old, but I'm hoping one of y'all has the installation file for ns-programmer. It seems their website is down and I had to reinstall windows and no longer have the program nor the instillation file.

Nevermind, found version 2 and 3 from random Chinese sites.

For the record, @sleeperdk posted a link earlier today for the installer. Just in case someone else looks for it in this thread.

Edit: out of curiosity, I also checked the original website link with the wayback machine, and it can be downloaded from there too. That would be:

There is also a v4 that don't need installation and is a portable version. I can upload it later today if needed.
No virus, I downloaded it on the official site weeks ago.

If you could upload the v4 that would be much appreciated! I have most of the other utilities I use in portable form that I carry on a USB already.
