tinfoil blocking kosmos and hakate has got me thinking why hasn't anyone made a similar app of the tinfoil store that allows hakate and kosmos so people have a work around.
i mean i have to use the tinfoil store yet work of a different distro store site instead the tinfoil version. so is there another app that does same where just can just add your own website distro then dont need to worry.

Because its closed source. Similar things as HBG exist (awoo installer and so on) the only feature they are missing is online installs or the illegal game cdn they have. You wont ever catch up to the amount of games they have. Also it's illegal.

Did tinfoil block Kosmos for drama reasons?

Blawar chose to block switches that use fss0 booting (not just Kosmos or DeepSea). He did it because he thinks fuse-primary booting is the superior method and everything else is just "hacks". fss0 booting allows us to use Hekate and its functions to easily boot anything you want and ship those configs to the user. There is a huge argument on if its bad or not and i dont want to start another fire. In the end - the enduser doesnt notice whats used. Its easier with fss0 (maybe not if you mess with patches) and it doesnt harm your switch in any way.

So I am curious (and I have to stress, I don't care about tinfoil support).

What is the loader function doing with DeepSea? Is it going to uphold how Hekate/Kosmos was doing it, or is it going to use the "atmosphere" way? Just so I know in the future when downloading sigpatches manually.

Fair enough. That's interesting. Thanks for the info, man.

dont forget to add a patreon link so people can donate to your hard work of making a zip file
Damn bud, salty much? Nothing wrong with providing an AIO package, even more so when it works with emuNAND, Hekate and allows you to choose whether you want sigpatches (piracy) or not. Win-win for everyone here. Might wanna chill with all that backdoor hate.

It's not cool how blawar has bullied the scene, forces restrictions, divides the scene and attempts to eliminate choice by supporting HBG only and such other nonsense. Many homebrew and scene devs don't support piracy and shouldn't have to cater to any one application/dev or outlier because it's popular. Choice should always be a priority.

I get your all for scene unity and what not, however most devs are against piracy so unfortunately ideology and beliefs go hand in hand with personal work and motivations so the choice to choose one package or the other is paramount to keep the peace.. well I hope at the very least it's a compromise that can keep this scene going without so much toxicity. Although really the reason for most of it is entitled end users who just want to pirate "out-of-the-box" as easily as possible and those who want to profit from it such as Blawar, SX, HBG and so on, and that right there is plain wrong.

Edit: I see that unfortunately due to DMCA notices that the patches builds were removed. Oh well, not that hard to find the package of patches but I guess we'll go back to people complaining -_-

There is a HUGE problem with releasing this trash. People are NOT entitled to be spoon fed and that is literally all DeepSea is. Once Team Neptune become to lazy to maintain their AIO, gbatemp will be flooded with useless pointless threads created by noobs that haven't the slightest clue how to hack a switch.

@Slluxx hi !
there is an error in the previous and in the latest package in : system_settings.ini
all cheats are enabled by default
this makes Crash on most games

ugh. thats trash. why did ams decide that it would be a good idea to make the default "on" and then comment out that line.
it wouldve made way more sense to uncomment that line with 0x1 and leave the default value at "off".

it will be fixed on the next release

sorry I thought it was your mistake
so ... SciresM decided to keep it enabled by default ... but the real question is : why ?
it is illogical. maybe he forgot it enabled in some tests

maybe you didn't understand what I said
... all the cheats contained in a single game are enabled at same time by default.

@Slluxx
I downloaded AMS 11 & 12 to check:
there is no system_settings.ini
who made the mistake?
nevermind ... i'm out :hateit:
I take a walk on the coast :D

if none is found in /config, the one from /config_templates will get copied over and used.

here is the current original
https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/blob/master/config_templates/system_settings.ini
