Just for curiosity, is this still under active development? I noticed it got no update in the last 3 months, is there anyone that is still working on it or it has been discontinued?

No, it's changes that are made. There are no builds (releases) of the new version but you can build them (using the source code from github in that link) and by using the instructions from a few pages back in this thread.
Is it safe to assume that there will likely be a new release eventually once enough changes have been made to justify a new release? Everything works for me atm with the non-gui version so i don't want to try my own build of the gui version and mess things up. Would prefer to wait.
Seems the branch with the latest updates is failing the docker build (per github).
Has it been implemented in upstream Chiaki yet? That would likely need to happen before it makes to to the Switch port.

I deleted all cookies, and it didn't help.
I even have issue connecting in games (wipeout omega can't authenticate me, so I can't get the rank board, or post new scores on it).
I don't have any filters in place in the router, I tried different DNS.
Solution found on internet says to use a VPN, which I don't want to try. and it won't fix my PS4 issue.
I allowed third parties cookies, disabled ad blockers, disabled "do not track me" option, reboot the router, etc. still the same. I think it's really tied to my ip/region.
I tried to use a different user on PS4, same issue with wipeout, so it's not my account, really the connection.
all I know is that it already happened in the past, and I had to wait weeks until I could connect again.
I feel I have that problem since I added the two steps auth.
Maybe I should disable it.
edit: Nope, didn't help. both wipeout and PC auth still doesn't work.
"a connection to the server could not be established" with an error code looking like a wong IP. (18.9f33dd58.xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx)
It seems I have to call support, even if I don't like that it might be the only solution to fix ingame issue.
edit: oh, I didn't try sharing connection with the phone.
It works with wipeout !! it's really like an IP ban...

I need some help using th app. I follwed the steps and im pretty sure filled out he config file correctly but for some reason all im getting is an black screen and crash. Is anyone else having the same problem? And if o does anyone have a solution?

I m sorry for not following this project correctly. It depens of my spare time
The switch-gui branch is experimental and dirty (it contains gui draft).
I just need to chain elements together (setting -> gui -> chiaki).
I also have to take care of performances and overclock
Currently the compilation process is broken.
There is many changes in devkitpro's toolchaine that are difficult to follow.
I've spend a lot on it. I probably might not using the toolchain correctly.
I m refactoring this point at the moment.
in order, I m planning to:
* fix cmake https://devkitpro.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=9110
* rebase to chiaki upstream
* continue to work on gui

I can completely identify with this! I just turned 31 myself and became a new father recently, so spare time after a long day at work is precious (and extremely limited.)
Working on a PC for my job all day is precisely why I'm no longer a PC Gamer....I cannot relax with a mouse/keyboard in hand after spending all day working with a mouse/keyboard
Even the GUI-less version of the project (with config file and tiny overclock) is fantastic, and relatively simple to configure so don't apologize to us for anything.
I think I speak collectively for us all when I say thanks a million for your efforts on this!

What you've given us already is awesome, any improvements would be a welcome bonus but don't feel any pressure, life is taxing enough these days.
Thanks but I was able to find it earlier and I got it working!
Anyway, what are the things that I can do to improve fps/performance? I tried 720p/60fps settings and overclocked CPU on Switch just like what some suggest but I get stutters and screen tearing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1 - have a ps4 pro lol
2 - have a good network connection
3 - overclock
Other than that there's not much more you could do. I only ever stream 30fps.
