That basically was downloading games from nintendos server before they changed things. That is what I believe freeshop used when it was a thing.
I still have freeshop on my 3Ds because I barely use it and never got banned for using it back then and I used it hell a lot

Also, is their any way to remove tickets from CIA games?
Let the ticket where they are. A ban on the 3ds is very unlikely.

Alright so to wrap things up, can I confirm that even with CFW removed I will most likely not be banned, even with spotpass activated?

With or without cfw the risk is exactly the same Nintendo will only ban you for cheating online or for using a stolen credit card in the eshop.

Spotpass is enabled on my 3ds and my friends can see what i "play" on my 3ds.

Alright so at least I know that my 3DS will be safe from bans. Thank you everybody!

you have as many chances to be banned by using cfw and playing online on 3ds as you have to be bitten by a spider and turn into superman

it's gamefreak who sounded the alarms, just relax and have fun
they're into other kind of lawsuits these days

And with CFW you have protection from bricks either by restoring a nand or by doing a CTRTransfer.

This is bullshit. As long as you don't cheat online you're safe.
Thats what they were saying lol

I know that it doesn’t work anymore I mean that I still have it installed but obviously I don’t use it anymore but used it back in the days heavily so I can surely say it doesn’t ban

Unless one cheats online, it's highly unlikely that one will get banned on the 3DS.

There was a CFW ban a long time ago in May 2017, but that's highly unlikely to happen again. If you keep certain Spotpass and Friends List settings off, and if you load all homebrew applications through Rosalina instead of illegitimate CIA installations, the risk of that kind of ban is negligible, if it does happen again.

Hey, I've had SpotPass and friend list settings on and had homebrew CIAs installed for the entire time I've had CFW and I haven't been banned. I think it differs based on what homebrew apps you use.

Yeah, the May 2017 ban was complicated, since it apparently affected some people but not everybody, even if they were in similar situations and had similar setups. What we know for sure is that people who had the spotpass/friends list settings off had a lower chance of having been banned, and people who didn't use homebrew CIA files had a lower chance of being banned.

It was also something that was impossible to test, since it was a single banwave that happened in May 2017, and it never happened again. Since it was one banwave that happened over three years ago, the consensus is that this kind of ban won't happen again, especially since online play for the 3DS and Wii U are going to be shut down eventually, and it's probably going to be sooner rather than later. One is unlikely to be banned on the 3DS unless one cheats online.

There were also ban waves associated with playing games online before their release dates, but that's unlikely to happen again since the 3DS has effectively been abandoned, so it's not worth talking about.

There really is no point in removing CFW from your system unless you want to resell it. Everything you've described in this thread can also happen on a system without CFW and the risk is exactly the same, if not higher. If you're afraid of bricks after you've installed CFW, simply don't do anything risky, like installing CIAs from sketchy sites or playing around with GodMode9 or FBI. It also makes sense to keep a NAND backup.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I ended up getting rid of my old 3d's. The buyer actually wanted it hacked.
