So far as I can tell it doesn't work, I tried to use it to download enso directly after my 64gb memory card completely corrupted (thankfully I have my old 16gb card). I linked the downloader directly to the online vpk, I tried it with vitashell and a bunch of homebrew apps but still no luck.

Thankfully I've ordered some sd2vita board that have just been fabricated so as soon as they arrive and I put them together I'll be using enso to auto-mount my sd card. Can't believe I wasted so much money on Sony's shitty proprietary corrupta-card, good thing we have a better option now.

I think it's for .pkg, since you can find something with the exact same name and UI in debug settings
Oh right, I guess that makes sense, I never really used debug settings before.
It would be cool if someone managed to find a way to make it download vpk instead, but I guess it's not worth it since the browser plugin lets you download anything.

Yeah I agree I feel like it's too much of hastle and it would be really cool to have a vpk app downloader something similar to the 3ds free eshop homebrew

Of course you need to use vitashell or equivalent to install this one, which defeats the purpose of wanting an "install from arbitrary URL" directly in the operating system :)

wouldn't work. you need the zrif to decrypt the package, which you can only get by buying the game. knowing the package url won't do anything.

to decrypt a vita package, you need the zrif which is related to the work.bin. mai dumps 0 out the work.bin while nonpdrm keeps it intact (probably modifies it) and nearly 0s out the license. every license is the same thing, just different title id. don't know about roms, only vita content.

you might need a license for that content. pkgj will download the license if it's part of its database. I know psp content requires a license that goes in the pspemu LICENSE folder.

I just checked. it doesn't look like there's a license for psx.

actually,i think network licenses were introduced on PSP games. seeing as older Sony platforms all required physical copies of games.

possibly, but god links like zeus are in the psx database. I don't know how those worked. they still used rif on psp games just like ps3, vita, and ps4. in fact, I read on devwiki that psp and vita rifs are nearly identical aside from the encryption key.

probably just on PSX DLC games from PSN store(including pkgj versions that were sourced from these DLC's)
