If u marry the updates then again the issues of double harddrive space and reinstall the said game.

I was able to backport a update using MODDED WAREFARE Backporter v1.2 . I was able to update v1.06 Kingdom Hearts. 
PS4 shows game was updated to v1.06 and son playing it currently.

ok just wondered if anyone had tried this method that was all.... i will release new version today its much faster now too. i will test it on an update pkg too but this is only a "theory" i guess as i cant test every update pkg so will need you guys to test on your own updates

yes looks about right mate ive actually just found a new tool which might make everything even easier
about the install the said pkg , if success will report back...

Success success success.. backported the update file and kingdom hearts 3 auto converted the save to be compatible with the latest update....

@RiPPERD success with sega classics all ok but lost the save game...No problem..
So as of now it depends upon game to game basis, if u install the updates via backporting method u risk losing the save data.... as some games convert the save data to latest update pkg and some simply delete the save file..
Sega classics save state working as new after update though...minor inconvenience...

not yet mate been on it all day and got another guy testing with me but not ready for release yet.... what would speed things up though is if people could send me a few GP4 files of the game folder... im limited with my games and hdd space so it works on 1 game but then another it wont coz of missing files... if i knew where files all were and their names it would help a lot
MW's BP v1.3 now backports updates without incrementing the version number.
