Stadia Connect April livestream announcement roundup

Stadia has been free as of late, letting players experience Google's game streaming platform. New games are finally headed to the service, after a dearth of news, as revealed by the latest Stadia Connect livestream. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Madden NFL, and FIFA will be available for purchase on Stadia later this year, with more EA games to follow into next year. Square Enix's Octopath Traveler also launches today for $59.99.

Other game reveals were shown, such as Rock of the Ages III, coming this June. The Turing Test, Spitlings, Steamworld Dig 2, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War will be May's free games to try, for those on the Stadia Pro plan. First on Stadia is Crayta, a game that lets players build things together, heads to the service this Summer. Wave Break will also be a timed exclusive, launching this Summer as well. Embr is a game about saving people from burning buildings in a funny way, this May. Get Packed is playable first on Stadia and is a co-op game where you pack up objects in a building and take them out.

PUBG is available today on Stadia. Just like all other Stadia games, no downloads or updates needed, and you can play cross-play with other platforms. It's also free for Pro members.

How many of the people that are bitching in this thread have actually tried Stadia out for themself?

See, posts like those? You don't have to ever pay the service fee if you don't want to. It's like ps+, or games with gold.

With my next payment I'm thinking about buying Doom Eternal on Stadia, becuase guess what? It works very well for me, and I don't have any limits on how much I can Download each month.

The Game Library is pretty lackluster though. And they are still not supporting iOS device for Streaming, which is a major bummer for me.
i cant try it lol not available in my country.paying full price for game streaming seems way too expensive even if ytou dont need to pay any fee(well you need the fee for 4k for what i readed)

Look at it this way:
- I don't own a current gen console except the Switch and I don't plan to invest into one yet
- My Gaming PC is getting old, the 770GTX and i5-4670k (I think that was the Model I have) is not enough for most graphic heavy games (Risk of Rain 2 is pushing the limit of my hardware already, I have 0 hope for Doom Eternal)
- I don't play nearly as much as I used to do, so upgrading my gaming PC, especially during times like this (Covid-19) where payment is in danger is not a priority for me.

But I still want to play Doom Eternal - so what is the best option for me? Buying it on Stadia.

If you are a "hardcore gamer" that has the Hardware to run new games in the desired resolution localy on your hardware - go for it!
I would do the same. I would always prefere a local installation over game streaming. But not everybody has the required hardware for modern games or is willing to spend the required money for it.

That is, at least in my opinion, the audience that Stadia should try to get on board.

a used console is preety damn cheap lol you can get an xb1 or ps4 500 gb used for under 200$ and play a giant library of games way cheaper, since used ps4 games and much cheaper than stadia full price games, so yeah i think in the long run stadia is more expensive than actualy owning a console, not to mention stadia doesnt look any better since streaming always makes image quality abit worse.

if you are a person that plays 2 or 3 games a year then stadia might be for you but if you play one or 2 games per month stadia ends up being costier.

if stadia was like netflix where you pay like 10$ a month and play thousands of games then yeah good deal but its not paying full price for streaming is crap and nextgen all games will probably be default 4k option where you have to pay for subscription fee every month if you want 4k(which on stadia is like upscalled 1080p at best from all the games they have right now).

imagine if netflix was like, want to watch a movie? fine pay full price of the bluray to watch.Do you think netflix would have any sucess streaming movies and series if people needed to fork 25 or 30 $ for each movie/series season? of course not, same reason here, too expensive for streaming imo, in the long run a console is cheaper if you play more than afew games a year.
