Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase - Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne gets HD remaster

maxresdefault-10-5-e1594310543591.jpg

It may not be the grand Nintendo Direct many were hoping for, but today's Nintendo Direct Mini will give us an idea of what games we can hope to see release on the Nintendo Switch in the future, courtesy of Nintendo's partners. Who knows what will be shown? The only way to find out is to watch, when the Direct Mini goes up in less than a minute. The video will be available to watch on either Nintendo of UK or Nintendo of America's YouTube channels.

The 8-minute video is now live. Cadence of Hyrule is getting three new DLC packs. The first of which is a character pack, which adds Impa, Aria, Shadow Link, Shadow Zelda, and Frederick as playable characters. It launches later today.

Pack two will include 39 new songs.

Pack 3 has a new story featuring Skull Kid. Packs 2 and 3 will release sometime before October. A season pass will also be available, letting you buy all the new content in one package, or you can grab a new physical edition with everything on October 23rd.

Rogue Company has a new trailer. It's an online competitive shooter playable on the Switch. You can play with other platforms, too.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds launches on September 28th.

Shin Megami Tensei news. But it's not V, it's Shin Megami Tensei III. Nocturne is getting an HD Remaster on Switch this Spring 2021.

Now we get V. A trailer teases the story of the game, which releases in 2021 as well, worldwide.

That's it. More Partner Showcases will be shown later this year.

3) This specific version that's getting remastered is the most definite way to play SMT3, and till this point, the only way to run it was an unofficial fan-patch that contains some game-breaking bugs.
Mind sharing some more info on why you believe this to be true?

1) It's one of the greatest JRPGs of all time.
2) It never saw any release outside PS2, let alone a portable one.

4) It's a favorite SMT game among many fans, so it's nice to see Atlus giving it some love.

Pretty much that, unless you're talking about something else of course - in that case, people just like to collect stuff =)
Dante is way more useful than Raidou.

It replaces Dante with Raidou, which is, while lacking in that meme potential, fits better into SMT universe as a whole and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb like Dante's appearance did. From narrative standpoint, it is a better version.

My bad then =) Welp, just collecting more or less - there's a lot of people who buy all stuff Zelda, and equally folks who want to obtain as many physical Switch releases as possible, especially since it's commonly predicted to be the last handheld to ever have cartidges.

Although it made great memes, I always thought they actually did a good job fitting dante in aesthetically.

The reactions to this direct can mostly be divided into two groups: "what shite" and "finally, some long-awaited SMT love!" Relatively few people even comment on the other things it showcased.

So according to Atlus' latest gameplay stream, it seems the SMT3 remaster is coming to PS4 as well as Switch. I wonder what this means for SMT5 and potential Switch Persona ports, maybe Atlus is finally starting to wise up after all.

Tbh, as someone who wasn't really excited for what was revealed in this direct, if you are someone who was into the SMT3 or 5 reveal, then I'm sure happy for you. Maybe I'll try them out as a lot of people seem to really like em.
