Final fantasy crystal chronicles? Bravely default II? I think those are the only non 1st party games I'm stoked for.

No new games but hopefully new details. Or maybe just new launch dates and reminders these games are still happening.

Metroid and Pokémon are first-party franchises, so no.
NMH3 will mostly be featured. B3 would be great as well.
Honestly, the only big third-party title I'm interested since it was announced is Shin Megami Tensei V, but it has mostly been cancelled at this point since Persona is being forced to print more and more money.

I dunno - original Gen 4 sucks butt gameplay-wise in retrospective, so it would be dope to see a remake of it with QoL features from Sword and Shield.

How long is it going to last ? I'm kinda mad we had to wait that long for just a mini direct just like the one we had before a few months before, won't have any info about botw2, probably 0 about MP4 and Bayo3, and maybe nothing about NMH3 since it wasn't even in the last mini direct which was supposed to be focused on 2020 releases, meaning NMH3 could be delayed and get released in 2021
So yeah, expectations are really, really low atm

So, even though the game is being developed by Bamco and Retro Studios, MP4 is probably not showing up?

I guess F-Zero won't be showing its moves, either...

This is a new mini direct series. This first installment will be only 10 min long, and this series is for showcasing updates on partners products.

Dont expect huge announcements or anything like that
