the ps4 is similar to the ps3 and very similar to the vita. to make changes to any encrypted file, it must be decrypted first. that's how fixes are made or resigninings.
If you are not familiar with this kind of stuff
Either google how to do it (you'll find guides, promise, but I can't link them here)
Or wait for someone to put a video tutorial/example on how to do it
Afaik someone managed to do it and Kingdom Hearts 3 runs just fine on 5.05

so i dumped death stranding but after install i cannot play it gives me error about trophies which is weird. anywho wanted to try this on the fpkg i made to see if it will work on 5.05. I have the scripts and python installed

Can I ask where you read this? If the source contains piracy then of course don't post it, but was it Twitter? Discord? Reddit?
Just want to make sure before I try backporting it myself.
I've read that FFVII remake requires 7.02 but is signed using a 6.5 SDK. Does that mean you would modify the package to have it run on 6.72 or lower?
I think I got the .ELF from the eboot.bin and a way for the script to work.......only for the script to tell me the "elf is invalid". Anybody who managed to get to this step know what's up?

it would be amazing if someone made a new thread where there would be a list of games that can be backported to 5.05 or at least write here what works and what doesn't work according to discussions on the internet.
