its basically for the time being a direct way to access the modchip to update it and recover the switch if anything happens , you dont need it installed but its easier to install. in the future it should be gaining more features .
some people bricked their sysnands with choij and couldnt boot the modchip to upate the firmware.
using the debug port and the software included along side latest update they could update the chips manually and get their systems recovered.

Of course I've returned it back to the customer!! (I always do btw)
At this very moment, the only thing the debug USB port is required for is basically to unbrick the modchip (in case you used ChoidujourNX, Incognito option in Tinfoil....) and that's it
I think the key thing here is keep the customer informed about the incompatibly of those apps and the modchip, as long as they are aware and informed, it's all good.
Eventually we will see at some point in the future that those apps will be updated and gain compatibility with SX Core/Lite...

If anyone is looking for an experienced installer from UK/EU I can highly recommend @squee666. He did mine sx core and sx lite (and a few other units) plus sent it back all in one day (or rather night). Excellent communication, very knowledgeable - as @Supernova89 mentioned before- you can't go wrong.

I am looking for someone in the United States to install the sx core into a V2 switch. I am in possession of the sx core.
i bet tiny solder guy is kicking himself now for not waiting. he would have been able to drum up lots of business now
