Hi

When trying to start a game im getting :

Ready to start system update.
The update will not take long . Update now ?
Once update is complete , the console will restart

I guess this is a switch update , and not a game update
Running atmosphere on it, guess it should be left on the current fw until further notice ?
The latest version of Atmosphere works with the latest system version (10.1.0) as of this post.

First, do you make use of your sysNAND, emuNAND, or both?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

  1. Make sure the SD card is FAT32.
  2. Remove all CFW files/folders from your SD card (that would be folders like /sept/ and /atmosphere/)
  3. ......

Worked now. Thanks. I guess I fucked up the installation with tinfoil and hbg shop.

You have to dump and install them into emuMMC. The Nintendo folder only carries the game files but you also need the game's tickets which are installed to the internal system. This is why simply copying the folder is not sufficient.
So I will have to run homebrew on my sysNAND in order to install the games on my emuMMC. That's a bummer.

certain early release games what's the trick to installing them? I take it they are cart dumps but I can never get them to install

is it better to grab the xci vs what I think is a converted and trimmed nsp of it (those give errors)

Use blawar's Tinfoil to install your games. By default, it will only install legitimate game dumps, but if you want to install NSP converts, you can disable those security settings. Aside from the security of installing legitimate game dumps and not converts, there is effectively no difference between the two after the game is installed.

tinfoil gives me the hekate file detect error still even though I changed the payload to fusee. Was I suppose to change something in Hekate’s ini file ?

If you're using fusee-primary, then you should remove all traces of Hekate from your SD card. That should remove the error.

Alternatively you can use Awoo Installer. It functions no matter what setup you have.
thats what I have been using but I can't get the nsusb.jar to run on my pc on 10 to do usb installs and it doesn't work with NUT server :wacko:which is what I've been using with the bigger games an a older version of tinfoil 5

There are a couple of USB installation programs you can use besides NS-USBLoader. I mainly use Aluminum Foil. The only drawback is that it doesn't support USB installing .XCI files unfortunately but besides that, it works fairly well.

Hello Experts.
I have an issue trying to use the memloader on my switch using TegraRcmGUI 2.6. Yesterday I used the memloader to load all of my switch files to my computer (the only thing I did when I used it yesterday was copy some screenshots from my switch album folder to my desktop) and today, I try to open my switch files using tegrarcm and when I click on Mount MMC-SD CARD (what I always use) all of the sudden nothing happens. When I click mount it well tell me UMS tool injected and it will give me the green check mark on the switch icon, showing that it "worked" but on my computer nothing appears. Normally it will show "Drive (E)" for the switch but when I mount abolutely nothing appears and nothing happens. I tried plugging in a random flash drive to my computer and the Drive (E) appears and I have full access to that flash drive, but when I mount my switch the drive doesn't appear and I can't access my switch files. If anyone has any ideas as to what I should do to solve the issues I would hugely appreciate it! I'll keep the page open to see if anyone replies so if you need additional information I'll be sure to supply you with that. Thanks, and sorry for the noob question, I am new. Also loading payloads like atmosphere still works, it's just mounting that doesn't work. Thank you

does it play nice with converted xci's to nsp ? because the older version of tinfoil gives me metadata errors on the newer dumps

Any particular reason you're using memloader? Hekate has its own UMS tool which not only is much faster but works better.

It should as long as they were converted properly.

I can't speak for older versions of Tinfoil, but newer versions of Tinfoil work fine with XCI-to-NSP converted files as long as the security protection is turned off.

I have no idea how to use the hekate UMS, and I guess the memloader was always convenient to me. I guess I just wanna make sure that memloader will once again work properly so I know there's not damage to my switch or computer, but I'll also learn hekate UMS too

edit: I just tried hekate and found the mount, my switch files appeared! But I'm still unsure of what happened to memloader

Everyone, the Paper Mario game, The origami king, has finally arrived. But how do players defeat the origami king in the final boss battle? And how does spinning and sliding the battle field work to defeat the bad guys?

Not sure why you asked that here instead of the Origami King discussion thread but

If you're talking about the last phase of the fight, you just have to rearrange the tiles back to normal, also making sure to succeed at the quick time prompts. From there you get the prompt to use the last Magic Circle and win.

As I've stated, Hekate's UMS tool is just an objectively better tool. memloader, while useful, has not been updated since its release which was over 2 years ago. It has bugs that the developer will never fix because he has left the scene.

I want to check if my V1 Switch is patched ( my serial number is on the orange area and probably patched XAJ400695xxx ). I have an R4s dongle and a jig. Do I need to check if it can get payloads through a PC with a test payload or can I just use the dongle to be easier?
Stock firmware is 4.1 so I want to know if I ll use fusee gelee or to use caffeine method.
Thanks
