its safe to update to it but if you dont use the sigpatches i posted in the "compatible tools for mariko" thread in the same forum section.
then games wont run because they require sigpatches.
if not just wait till sxos update that will fix that by default

With v1.3 firmware on the sx core/lite it will "unbrick" the brick caused by choi, though If I were you since there's literally no reason to update right now Is wait until AMS 14.0.0 comes out as it'll include daybreak a new homebrew firmware updating tool that replaces choi and Is supposed to support mariko units.

If someone quotes me directly I am obligated to respond. I have nothing to gain and therefore nothing to lose. I am simply expressing myself in a digital medium. I wish I wasn’t in this mood but it is too late for that, this is what my 2 months of anticipation and excitement has been reduced to. I certainly wasn’t looking forward to being treated like piece of shit. I thought getting my mod chip finally delivered was going to be fun and exciting, not a capitalist facefuck. So please interpret all of this through the lens of someone that had this much enthusiasm for something positive, but was instead told to go fuck their self for thinking people had any decency. I thought I would be happy the day my stupid fucking mod chip arrived now it is more like get charged double for being a day one kickstarter. I am so glad I preordered from txswitch and waited 2 months while everyone else got theirs before me for a better price. Fuck my life right?

You were quick to tell him no nevermind; it not only makes you look impatient and dare I say childish; it probably spooked him too. He has to be careful. If you had his address/name, you could have reported him to Ninty. That's what he has to be careful of.

He didn't honor your price, you were quick to react instead of nicely inquiring more (since you're asking him of a service for you) and thus blasted him on the forum expecting everyone to be on your side and when they didn't, you then lashed out at them.

So don't try and now play the victim card after all this was said.

No one has mentioned Modder's tools/paste he uses on customer's products which need to be resupplied. That goes into the factor of his pricing too.

You would think someone that has been doing this for 30 years took that into consideration when they gave me their quote.

I did the same thing I bought from MOD3dsCARD and waited ages they didn't even ship it to here in the US they shipped it to canada and i had to reship, know how much I spent? $53 chip, $40 DHL, $20 reship do you see me complaining? ultimately you win some you lose some and once I realized how fast aliexpress was in comparison I bought ANOTHER chip. The bottom line is the installer you contacted was undercharging his services and I personally have referred him to multiple friends who have also used his service and they didn't complain about the price. His work and his service meaning what you get as a WHOLE package merits more and honestly $60 is peanuts, I give him more money every time I use his services because interacting with him in person hes a super nice guy, knowledgeable, patient and he went above and beyond for me and made things right. He broke not only one but TWO switch lites, he paid to have them both replaced, I paid for the third one and he reimbursed me for it meaning I came to pick up my console, he handed it to me, $220 and we called it even. Does that sound like someone who is being money grubby or price gouging? He also only asked for $30 for my sx core but I gave him $40 AND never once gave me the run around or an excuse he took full responsibility and handled it. Not one person installing these in the US Is charging under $60 and most are $75 right now.. good luck finding someone to install yours for $40 as most people just won't take the risk It's just not worth it.

His price includes return shipping so if you drive to him he'll charge you $50, Hence why he wanted $30 from me cause I drove 2 hours to him but I gave him $40 cause really whats $10? For the work he did he deserves more. He doesn't want double from you, for an SX core my friend had installed it was $50 and now I have a friend's switch lite going to him and it's cost of chip & install $120, see how we and many others are paying his prices? Had you been more patient rather than ranting like a child on this forum he probably would've charged you $40 or $50 but because he told you his prices were raised you told him you weren't going to use his services none of this is personal, it's just business, and a simple lesson.. treat others how you'd want to be treated.

If you have a University/College near you, try the electrical engineering dept. --> there's probably a school reddit where you can ask. I do that if I need something 3d printed or soldered.

He literally said "I don't know you decide" so he would've done it for $40 only making $30 to make you happy, all you had to do was say "Yeah If I could send it in and we do the $40 price i'd like to do that as we talked about" He didn't ignore you if he doesn't respond he's busy with life or working on other customer's switches, If you were making near nothing on an install i highly doubt you'd respond instantly either this is the reason he doesn't give his contact info or ANYTHING until you're ready to send the switch in, Trust me I have 5 pages of us pming back and forth while I was waiting for my modchip to come in and he always said "whenever you're ready" or "I'm ready anytime" or sometimes he just straight up didn't respond and just "liked my message" I never once took that the wrong way and I understand completely now why he does it the way he does it.

I'm sorry, but it's the internet. You have to take everything with a grain of salt; it's to be expected. You don't know them on a personal level so there's really not much trust to betray. You didn't have a working relationship besides for a RFQ (Request for Quote). Period. He wasn't a vendor you usually deal with and you never spoke to him previously otherwise.
You're making it way more than it should be; and even after blasting him last night, he tried to do good today and reason with you (seeing the timestamp on that text).

What are you trying to obtain from all this? Have him banned? I mean, you tried to smear his name for roughly 5-6 pages now and it has backfired on you with many people.
