You're forcing reset it because Atmosphere is crashing or freezing? What exactly is happening?
And the basic question: is your SD card formatted in FAT32?
Yes may sd card is Fat32.My switch automatically turned off while i was playing smash and only turned on when i force reset it

It's Atmosphere's paylaod.
Download the latest version of fusee_primary.bin from
Use TegraRcmGUI to send it to your Switch. You will boot directly into Atmosphere. Then, try to launch what you're having trouble with.
I'm pretty sure the sigpatches you downloaded and used are for fusee primary.
Ps.: Make sure emuMMC is activated in Hekate.

Unfortunately this doesn't work. It shows the atmosphere icon and then a black screen with some kind of memory adresses on the right side. When I push the power button I get the atmosphere icon and afterwards again the memory adresses.

Hey there,
My partner had a few issues with updating the jailbreak. everything is working fine now, but the WHOLE SD card (120gb) is full despite it having only about 4-5 games.
There are two very heavy folders: Nintendo and emummc, both weighing the same (about 60GB), but full of stuff I can't figure out specifically.
I think that somewhere along all the jailbreak-restarts we left heavy game files inside the system, which are not showing as installed, but still takes most of the space.

Anyone have been through this problem? any suggestions about how to fix it? hopefully without resetting everything.

BTW: I don't know if it means anything, but programs like sys-clk still showing the profiles of games which are not installed anymore (was installed before we updated)

Have you tried deleting sept and atmosphere folders, and then downloading from Atmosphere's GitHub the latest version, and putting them back in? A clean CFW install. Also, you're using FAT32, right?

Is it happening only with Smash?

First, do you make use of your sysNAND, emuNAND, or both?

  1. Make sure the SD card is FAT32.
  2. Remove all CFW files/folders from your SD card (that would be folders like /sept/ and /atmosphere/)
  3. Download the latest Atmosphere
  4. Download the latest fusee-primary (next to Atmosphere)
  5. Download these signature patches (for Atmosphere v0.13.0)
  6. Put Atmosphere and the signature patches onto your SD card
  7. Put the SD into your Switch
  8. Enter RCM
  9. Launch Atmosphere using fusee-primary

I think I'm using my emuNAND? TBH, I'm not completely sure. I'm entering atmosphere with "CFW(emummc)".
I'm not using the internet (maybe only using software like tinfoil), but I'm not looking to play games online or something.

If you don't care about online play, I recommend switching to using only a sysNAND without having an emuNAND. Obviously, you should have a clean backup of your sysNAND before doing this.

There are many things that could be taking up space on your SD card, including but not limited to having duplicate games on your sysNAND and emuNAND. Removing the emuNAND itself will free up 32GB.

You can try looking into Nintendo/Contents/placehld folder if there's data there. If there's any, you can delete it. Maybe some downloaded failed, and sometimes when it happens they stay there (although it should be deleted after a system reboot as far as I know).
Other than that, since you're using emuMMC, maybe take a look if you're not installing the same game twice (once in the emuMMC partition, and once more in the SD partition).

Thanks! I'll try both of your solutions!
I remember that after updating, my partner had a problem where the games did not launch (but she didn't remove them from the card or something), and she tried to fix it. I believe that in the process, full game files were left in both the sys and emu which cause this.

What do you mean by "didn't work"?

So I lost all my saves on my new 256gb drive(they just disappeared). So I loaded up the one I replaced and all the saves pretty far were on my 128gb card that I just upgraded.

So, on the 128gb card, I went into the SWITCH folder can copied the Checkpoint folder, this has a subfolder with all the saves I backed up from 128gb card. I connected my 256gb card to my PC, and went to the SWITCH folder and deleted Checkpoint folder and REPLACED it with the Checkpoint folder from the 128gb card.

When I load up the 256gb card on my Switch and go back to Checkpoint, It only shows the games that have saves on the 256gb card (like 2 because I quit as soon as I noticed my saves gone). The ones I pulled from my 128gb are not there but, the folder IS there and with all the saves I dropped there.

How do I get all the saves I dropped to show up in Checkpoint, or is there another way to pull my saves from my 128gb card and MOVE/copy them to my 256gb card ?

Nintendo has some official ways but, dealing with this type of system, it does not work, unless I am missing something...

Ideas ? Anyone ?

Having some trouble with USB devices not being recognized by SX OS. These devices seem to be operating normally when plugged into computers. Is there a way to confirm if the Switch's USB hubs are going bad? These ports have been working full time the last ~2 years.

It sounds like you should switch to a sysNAND only setup, and it sounds like you should wipe your SD card and reinstall your games.

I'll finish with a bit of a noob question as we've done the jailbreak a long time ago... can I wipe the SD completely empty, or should I leave something on it, if I plan to completely reinstall the whole jailbreak?

  1. Make sure the SD card is FAT32.
  2. Make sure you have a clean sysNAND backup stored somewhere safe.
  3. Wipe the SD card. Make sure to delete the emuNAND partition and recombine the partitions.
  4. Remove all CFW files/folders from your SD card (that would be folders like /sept/ and /atmosphere/) (made redundant by reformatting)
  5. Download the latest Atmosphere

Im planning to install sx core on my mariko switch. Is there a FULL guide of proper installation and the do's and don'ts after the installation?
I hear alot of bans and brick, how to avoid them with the new sx core.

Also, in general, what will work and what will not work currently on this installation, because i also hear some cfws dont work on this modchip.

I've heard there is an update to joycons in the latest ofw. Should I use another switch to update them ?
I'm on 10.0.1 so not the latest holding off for now for switch itself.

Having the folder is not enough. The games have to be installed to the console and run at least once to generate save data for Checkpoint to recognize then import.

This is a pretty good list of incompatible tools with the SX Core. Bans are inevitable because you are hacking the console and bricks are rare as long as you don't do anything crazy (remember that a black screen can always just be a black screen, not all black screens are bricks). And currently the only CFW that works on the modchip is SX OS which comes with the chip.

Just keep the backup on your computer, cloud, drive, etc.

I don't see why you would need another Switch to update them.

Hi

When trying to start a game im getting :

Ready to start system update.
The update will not take long . Update now ?
Once update is complete , the console will restart

I guess this is a switch update , and not a game update
Running atmosphere on it, guess it should be left on the current fw until further notice ?
