Nintendo Switch firmware version 10.1.0 available to download

If there's one thing you can count on in this world, it's the stability updates for your Nintendo consoles. A new Nintendo Switch firmware update has just gone live, bringing the system to software version 10.1.0. As usual, this minor update only adds "general system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience". The new firmware doesn't seem to change much in terms of exploits, either--SciresM says that Trustzone/Bootloader weren't affected, and neither was the Kernel changed. Regardless, a new version of Atmosphere will be dropping later this week.

As some one else stated these companies are posting up bounties in various places, if someone turned over a vulnerability/hack...etc the update would have patched that and nintendo will (more than likely) not tell you that an exploit was
patched.

Their priority is to prevent hackers yet cant be fucked to support paying customers with updated user interface features because their on top again. If they were bleeding from the ass like their Wii U days , they would actually make an attempt to tackle it

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
