Hacking So I can transfer legit saves via usb stick from hacked 5.05 to updated console?

Basic question, just checking. The 5.05 console has a mix of legit games and the other kind, but the save(s) I'd want to transfer are from legit disc games. Never used it but I understand there's a backup saves to USB stick option in the settings, is there anything that would stop this working for transferring those legit saves to a new updated console? Cheers.

but it says

Replace save files with an encrypted save (if it's encrypted with keys > 5.05)
Use this on unexploited consoles

I am doing the opposite of you, copying saves from an unexploited console to an exploited console. I don't think you can copy them to an unexploited console. Those are encrypted saves.

I think maybe now I have it backwards and you can transfer saves from 5.05 to unhacked console but I cannot transfer saves from unhacked console on latest firmware to 5.05.

I know there's tools for hacked consoles that can decrypt the saves, but I was talking about the official backup method in the settings menu, e.g. https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-copy-a-PS4-game-save-to-a-external-drive/

I'm hoping if I'm using the same account on the new console, the saves will just work - I think that's the plan from Sony's perspective, as long as differing firmware versions or anything else hack-related doesn't get in the way.

yes that is correct you can go from jb ps4 to legit ps4 and not other way around just using a usb drive. Have to make sure the accounts match.

Unless you can get someone to resign the save for you, then it would have to match the account.

I would have done it but I plat gow years ago lol.
Will do that for some games once the new hacks come lol
