Hacking LayeredFS not working with Cave Story +

So after finding my old copy of CS+ today, the first thing I wanted to do was mod it. Suprisingly, all the textures are just .pngs, so I made a simple sprite mod and went about testing it.

TL;DR - nothing worked

I tried layeredFS, I used both an updated and unupdated tilteID, used the built in "mod loader," etc, to no avail. If anyone can help, pls lmk. I'll post more info if needed, but I'm tired and gonna try to get some sleep ;-;

You would better open an issue on atmo github.

State your HOS version, atmo version (or other CFW), SD formatting etc... legit game copy or not, which version of the game update ?
Without information nobody can troubleshoot...

Where did you place modded files on your SD Card? The most common mistake here is that people use either the wrong title ID or folder structure
