Hi.
Recently bought a 2DS was bought as faulty wont power on. The unit does power on however just sits there with a solid blue light. No backlights sounds or anything. Holding the power switch down switches it off. I have had the back of and all seems fine no water indicators have gone of. Reseated all the cables ect. No wifi card in this model in the place ive seen on the youtube videos. Im new to these machines usually deal with dmgs and pockets. But would like to get it going for my son. Im thinking it could be a software issues any way of recovering this. As i know no history of this machine im just guessing. Well thanks in advance for any help. Any sugestions.

Try turning it on while holding L, R, A and up on the dpad or if that doesn't work you could try booting with ntrboot from a compatible DS flashcart
ok ill try that thanks. I have a really old r4 revolution the first ones lol. Guess that wont work. What the best card to get and do you have a link to a guide

I'm not sure if the 2DS/3DS will power on without the wifi card. That might be why it doesn't work.

It's not sure if this is a software issue though so it's your choice if you want to risk spending the money on a new compatible flashcart

There are newer 2DS revisions that just have a small wifi IC on the board instead of the big removable card
@sasquatcuk Is there an empty socket/connector on the board where the wifi card should be or is it just that small chip?
