Well, the same thing was told about 3DS until Luma showed up and proved it's unpatchable. Gonna wait a year or so, maybe i will change my mind. Kudos to everyone for now
That doesn't make sense nor has anything to do with what I was saying. Luma is a CFW and is constantly being patched out when the newest 3DS firmware comes out. What cannot be patched out is the exploit. The same is true for the Switch. Every new firmware breaks all CFW but the exploit can never be patched out. And being unpatchable or not has no bearing on whether its safe in terms of a ban.
Hi all ,

ive got a switch that runs :
  • Atmosphere (Hekate)
    (v0.13.0/17.06.2020)
But does it work to install games that are stored on the sd card that has .xci format ??

What homebrew app do i need in that case ?

You can install .XCI files with Awoo Installer.

Goldleaf is arguably the worst title installer.
OMG! lol

I see you mentioned Awoo Installer for installing XCI. I have just looked into that and it seems interesting. Is this a good overall installer? Or just recommended for XCI files? And on PC (to transfer via USB) should I use ns-usbloader or something else?

Any way to completely wipe a switch back to factory settings: firmware and all?
I mistakenly downgraded my Switch firmware to 1.0.x or something and now it won't boot at all and I can't seem to get ChoiDuJour to work on my PC. All I can do it boot Hekate and that's it (I have no back-up)

I recommend using Awoo Installer as a general title installer as it supports .XCI, .NSP, and even .NSZ

You have to use ChoiDujour.

As I suspected, you are missing the patches. Unfortunately, the patches have been removed from SDSetup so you will have to download them separately from here
Thnks

Did find and downloaded the

HarukoNX ES FS Patches 10.0.4_AS 0.13\atmosphere\exefs_patches\es_patches
moving it to the atmosphere\exefs_patches\es_patches on the sd card

But still getting the same error as before ??

Scandal, I just installed Incognito with Incognito_RCM and it seems to be everything fine. I have made a backup from my prodinfo file. Can I remove it from my SD, or should I just let it there?
Either option is fine but its just wasting space on your SD card if you leave it there.

As denoted by the folder name, you only moved the ES patches which are for .NSP files. To install .XCI files, you need the FS patches which are located in the patches.ini file

hi guys, I don't know what I'm doing wrong here.. I can't get any NSP's to install with goldleaf (including tinfoil.nsp.). I'm running the latest OFW (10.0.4) and using latest atmosphere with the latest sigpatches on the latest hekate. trying to boot Fusee-primary results in a black screen with white letters on the side. OG tinfoil (0.2.1) stays stuck on the main menu and the latest tinfoil release by blaware shuts back down to HBMenu as soon as i click it. am i missing something? (the error i get is 2002-4518 - Invalid NCA). PLEASE HELP!

I believe you might be using sigpatches from fusee-primary but launching into Atmosphere with Hekate, and that's why you can't install NSPs. About the issue booting with fusee-primary, make sure your CFW and your fusee-primary.bin files are updated, that also might be the issue.
