No - only once (and not on SysNAND).
Damn... any reason not to use SysNAND? I don't use EmuNAND.. but I have my NAND backups. It's because the main reason I want Incognito is not to avoid a ban, as I don't really care too much about it, is more to avoid my system to get an unwanted update from Nintendo servers.

Oh well in that case it’s fine - but please keep the backup safe. It is a brute-force measure; if you run it on SysNAND you will only ever have to run it once.

edit: the SysNAND option is there for people who know what they’re doing...

So just to confirm - you’re not using emuMMC?
No. I started hacking my Switch before it was a thing, I didn't bother to make it later. Specially cause my SD card is 64gb, and that would take almost half of it just for the emunand. Since I don't intend to connect my Switch officially anyway I thought it wasn't a big deal in my case. But I keep my nand backup updated and safe in case of an emergency.

I can't seem to find an answer for "best case scenario" anywhere.
What would be the optimal serial and firmware for the least resistance?
US region, most likely plan to use Sx firmware.
I see the list of un-patched and whatnot but I'm unsure if there's a "crème de la crème" I should keep an eye out for.

The console not being patched is all that matters. The "crème de la crème" would be a console with a firmware of 1.0 (or at least 1 burnt fuse) but right now, there is not much use for a console with such a low fuse count/firmware.

Probably asked many times but gonna ask anyway:
I will be asking for Xecuter SX and SXOS.
How safe is using this solution?
I mean, i read its easy and that there's almost no risk involving this.
Is it really that simple in use and instalation?
How big is risk that my Switch will be bricked?
Will i be able to use SX and SXOS in docked?
And is it worth it, looking at the price they are asking for it?
And how does support from Xecuter looks?

Sorry of all of this was already answered but looking at how there's over 1K pages of questions... Sorry in advance

SX OS is just a CFW. Its used the same way as any other CFW for the Switch which involves using the fusee gelee exploit. From a software perspective, it carries little to no brick risk unless you run malicious software which is rare nowadays. But since the exploit requires a bit of hardware, there is a tiny risk of physical damage to the console. However unless you are extremely forceful, the chances of this happening is still relatively low. Like all CFW, they can be utilized docked or undocked. Whether or not its worth the price depends on who you ask since its a subjective question. In my opinion, it is not worth it as much of what SX OS offers can be done on the other CFW. The only exclusive features are .XCI loading which is a non-issue as games can be installed as .NSP files on other CFW and loading .XCI games from an HDD. Support from TX is also similar to other CFW as they are all actively updated.

Thanks for being so quick about it, in first place
Yeah, i understand that other CFW are better (i learned that during my 3DS hacking adventures. I started from Sky3DS, only to learn it was garbage and installed Luma much later). I want to get into switch modding and from what i saw, SX OS also let's me install other CFW and is probably easiest to use so maybe it's good start for me?

You don't install any CFW for the Switch. As I've stated, its loaded the same way as all the other CFW using the exploit called Fusee Gelee. I also don't recommend starting with SX OS as it lacks the safety features that other CFW as well as various other reasons.

So i was wrong then. Ok, gonna look into this more deeply. From what i know, my switch is patchable (its from one of first batches) so any easy to install and use CFW u would recommend then?

Use Atmosphere. It's the one with the biggest support, free and open-source. I particularly have and like SX-OS as well (it has some features I really enjoy), but to be fair, Atmosphere has it's own benefits as well and most of what SX-OS can do, Atmosphere can do as well or at least circumvent in some other way.

And I never used it, but ReiNX also seems pretty good and it's also free.

Sounds good. Gonna ask it straight - how does it look when going online and playing official games that i already own? I own few that are still supported, like smash for example. How safe is using atmosphere? Do I need to stay forever offline or i can go online with what i legally own?

There is always a risk of being banned if you go online after using any CFW or homebrew.

Hi all ,

ive got a switch that runs :
  • Atmosphere (Hekate)
    (v0.13.0/17.06.2020)
But does it work to install games that are stored on the sd card that has .xci format ??

What homebrew app do i need in that case ?

In this case you have to setup Emummc (it's like creating a second nand in your SD, so your system keeps untouched to avoid bans). I don't use it myself, but by some reports I've read it seems to be quite effective. But as soon as you hack your Switch, there's no guarantee you won't get banned sooner or later. If you want to hack it, you will have to assume the risk.

You can't load XCI with Atmosphere, but you can convert XCI to NSP. I think you can do it with 4NXCI.

So we go back to the base problem. I guess i will wait a little more then, until maybe something safer will show up

Nothing safer will ever show up as the point of CFW and homebrew is not to be safe but to work.
Well, the same thing was told about 3DS until Luma showed up and proved it's unpatchable. Gonna wait a year or so, maybe i will change my mind. Kudos to everyone for now
