This looks like something I made in Photoshop in 5 minutes during mid grade school. Yeah, 2/3 empty white banner at top on blue box with artwork. Bleh. The art for Miles Morales is also just as generic as it's predecessor's box art. Seriously though, Nintendo cut down the banner to just a small square at the top left of the box. SONY. WAKE UP (get up, get out there)

Quick edit: WHY CAN'T THEY JUST MAKE THE PART OF THE WHITE BANNER ON THE SIDE LINE UP WITH THE PART ON THE TOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED EVERY TIME. WAKE UP SONY.

I fucking hate it. And it's all because of that white stripe. They can reuse the PS4's blue stripe with a white text and honestly it'll look better than this. If they wanted to go with that white stripe, they should have made the case itself white as well so that it'll look good.

Who cares what the box looks like. Every game I have ever played since 2002 didn't come with a box since I downloaded it on a piracy site

It looks like I couldn’t give much of a shit, I don’t spend much time gazing at the box.

It’s bland and generic, but really I’m only interested in the game, not the box - unless it’s a special edition or something, where the artists have gone all out on the box design, then I’ll have a look, they deserve that.

But generally, I just rip it open without much of a passing glance to get at the disc.

Otherwise it is Xbox Series X for me all the way. Even though I have been a lifelong Sony Pony and never had a Xbox before.

yeah itis a shame really, that's one big thing worth buying a game for me tbh! First thing i do when i buy i game is make a sandwich, sit and read the manual, examen the art and the little details they put into it and just enjoy

They think it's enough because people will "swallow" whatever is presented to them.

I guess your theory makes sense, since they all try to replace phisical with digital which is the reason for some to stop supporting them. I know a lot of people take Steam as an example how good that is, but PC and consoles are not the same cultures imo. PC games are just for gaming, but consoles have their history and traditions that console gamers like. On of those being game covers and manuals and collecting phisical games etc... just one of many reasons its not the same as PC. PC's never had game covers or ppl didn't care for it that much.

if YOU consistently get 1st place in every console gen (excluding the 7th one in which you still got 2nd place) since 1995 with each console getting constant accolades and critical acclaim youd probably get cocky and start shitting out crap no one wants but you'd think anyone will buy.
Sony's getting cocky and really its about time that microsoft stop putting their head up their ass and make a console like the 360

The layout is the same as the PS4, which was the same as the Xbox One, which was the same as the PS Vita, which was the same as the PS3, which was the same as the Xbox 360, which was the same as the PSP, which was the same as the Xbox, which was the same as the PS2, which was the same as some PC games.
