ROM Hack Smash Ultimate 8.0 on 10.0.4 issues with cfw

Can't seem to get this working after latest updates to firmware of switch and the game. All other games work, tried on both SXOS and Atmosphere and crashes at the start of each. I'm guessing you have to patch this to a lower version with NSC builder? Or is there an easier way or just wait out the next update?

Smash 8.0 on 10.0.4 works just fine using the latest Atmosphere. There's something wrong with your setup. Are you receiving an error code? Are you using the proper signature patches with the latest Atmosphere?

I have Horizon 10.0.4 and Atmos 0.13.0, and SSBU 8.0.0 is working perfectly.

Double check the files you used to update the game, and make sure everythings was installed correctly and in the right order.

I'm using SXOS 3.0.3 and updated firmware on switch to 10.0.4. Also updated Atmosphere through HB App store but will try manually as well. This is the only game that does not work and it was fine until i updated it today to 8.0 and the new dlc. Did it through Tinfoil as i always do. Have reinstalled it a bunch of times and the same thing.

SXOS and Tinfoil are stuff people should try to avoid if possible. And never, ever update Atmos using the HB App Store.

I had the same issue. Try the XCI, it worked for me.

It finally worked after reinstalling it at least 6 times using Usb on tinfoil for the base. I had to download the new SXOS 3.0.3 manually and redid atmosphere manually. It failed one more time then eventually worked. Maybe the updates were down when i was trying to install it a few days ago. but thanks for the help

I have the same problem. I have CFW SXOS, with 3.0.3 and Firmware 10.0.4. I have installed several times and nothing. I downloaded the XCI and yes it worked for me but it doesn't have all the DLC (characters). I have read various forums and many people have this problem but still can't find the solution.

Any advice is appreciated. Regards

After using the cartridge plus an update sync from my legit switch, it still crashes the game for me upon entering the character selection screen. With and without dlc installed. The moment i reach the character selection screen everything goes into slowmotion and the buttons like home dont work anymore. Don't really know how to fix it and has no hurry but i;d like to try out minmin before buying her / the battle pass2.

After removing the sept + atmosphere folder
reinstalling those folders with a clean copy of github release
changing from hekate payload to fuseeprimary payload
everything works again

I found out that it still doesn't work on SXOS for me but does on Atmosphere. I used a smash mod and i wonder if that had something to do with it. But it works everytime on Atmosphere but never on SXOS after i used some mods.
