Hi guys, my kit just arrived and I have a few questions
(I'm on latest switch version and have not inserted my new 400gb sd card yet)

1) I have store bought animal crossing and I fear that I will lose the ability to keep my save file and get the animal crossing seasonal updates (important for GF), is there a way to keep it?

2) I don't understand the options to clean the nand / boot into emunand.

I understand the first thing to do is make a backup of the sysnand. Is it correct that it is the 32gb emmc chip (internal memory) we are talking about when talking about sysnand?
Is the sx core chip replacing the systems nand completely and then has a sysnand and emunand available where the sysnand is a clean version which I can use as if my switch wasn't modded (with my original savegames/update ability)?

3) I heard it's best to format my 400gb sd card in fat32? Isn't the 4gb file limit an issue?

Thanks for the help!

Switch Lite install without cutting heat shield:

 WOW, perfection again, you should stop, your'e making most of us feel inferior  (which we probably are :))

My son has a unpatched switch, but my daughter will probably want a switch soon, I think it's worth paying to ship it from the UK to you because of the standard of your tiny soldering :)

Hello, I am new to the switch modding scene. Just got a Switch v2, with sx core installed. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what I should with the switch first. New to this, and last thing I want to do is brick my new toy.

Just to be clear on the black screen on my switch.
Can anyone who have installed the core tell if it's normal right after testing and you got green light
and the boot dat on screen. Is it then normal that you cannot see any battery indication when the
charger is in the switch? And until you install SxOs you cannot boot into Ofw.

A question: Is it normal that the boot time from powered-off state to lockscreen menu takes about 33seconds using sx core? When I press the power button, the blue light gets green after 1-2 seconds and goes fast from SX OS Logo to the nintendo logo. But from Nintendo logo and to the lockscreen menu, it takes long. (From Nintendo logo to Joy-Con logo it took 16 seconds). The entire boot time is always between 30-35 seconds. I have hidden-partition based emunand on SD-Card from Sandisk Extreme 128GB rated with A2 C3 V30 UHS-I U3 formatted as FAT32 using guiformat. Tried to test the speed of the sd card and it reaches the speed as provided from the manufacture.

Edit: My friends Switch takes about 15-20 second to boot from powered-off state to lockscreen menu.

Are you comparing same mods to each other?

Also when do you start timing it? Rememer Core and Lite are glitching so boots are 100% the same.

I've heard it gets faster with use. Hence the "AI" term.
Also, you won't get the full Sandisk Extreme speeds of 160 sequential. switch is like 100 max. But for the higher random speeds, being faster, I chose this type of card too.

I've been doing lots of research and am learning a lot about the scene. I'm super ready and excited!
I've been needing a new HDD for my pc for awhile, so I think I'm gonna get an usb-c Asus Arion enclosure and put a smaller nvme drive I would be replacing in there. I know I won't get the 1,000mb's max seq and more like 53 across the board lol (usb 2.0 speeds on switch) I can use it for work and there I can or what not.
Happy to learn I can use it on sx os at least!
