You need to install the driver for Tinfoil (it's the same driver used for TegraRcmGui but you need to install it again while in Tinfoil) unless you are installing over the network which is slower and a bit more complicated to set up but more reliable, that requires manually adding the IP to the server list. But if you do USB it's literally just opening up Tinfoil and Nut, plugging in the USB (with driver installed) and games will show up on the Switch in categories ("New Games", "Updates", "New DLC" etc.) and once you have the server added if using network it works the same way.
As for Awoo that works with NS-usbloader (for transferring games over either network or USB) and it's a bit easier to set up network installs on that as you just type in the IP shown on the Switch into the PC application (and you also have to select the right protocol, I believe it should be set to Tinfoil (not the same Tinfoil by the way so it's not compatible with blawar's Tinfoil at all) and select either Net or USB) but the UI is much less user friendly and USB installs are super unstable compared to Tinfoil. Same thing with the driver as Tinfoil, install it with the Switch plugged into the PC and running the homebrew.
