Rockstar went from making variety of great games to announcing a 7 years old game to a new console!!

GTA V isn't really the problem the problem is they keep on rehasing the game. Look at GTA IV we had the ballad of gay tony and the lost and the dammed. They could have did the episodes so it gave us 2 games off the same map. So technically speaking on PS3 era we have 4 variations of GTA IV, Ballad of Gay Tony, Lost and the Dammed and GTA V. The problem is they focused more online versus giving us a new game. GTA has always been a single player game. Some games dont need multiplayer GTA V is one of them . Burnout paradise is a perfect example I can't even play the game without an idiot trying to run me off the road

Well when you consider the fact that Rockstar have made over $1 billion in the last four years for GTA online its no wonder that is their main focus. Its what is still making them the most money.

Wow I did not realize that. It just suck we had got the most out of GTA IV versus GTA V. For me personally I played this game and beat the game since 2013 so I havent really had a new GTA in 7 years. I tried GTA V online when it was free on Gamepass and it was a unpleasant experience. This reminds me of the Atari era where all the devs was making the same stuff due to Atari Success this is the same thing that is happening now. Almost 90% of games have some type of multiplayer and the shift is slowly dying away from single player games. I dont really see the need for GTA V online If I want to race I can play a racing game if I want to shoot stuff I can play a FPS. There is honestly no need for online pertaining to GTA.

The gaming industry is becoming like the music industry instead of innovation they are just following trends.

is this satire?
those dlc for gta 4 contain an entirely different story than the base game, that's like complaining that gta 3 and liberty city stories are the same game lol

also isn't that common for every racing game, not just burnout paradise? hell, burnout paradise literally has a gamemode where you destroy opponents to win races, so that's not even an excuse

Not surprised since the damn game is still up there in the charts every month after so many years so it's pretty imminent that they will release it on next gen consoles. What I'm pissed off is that they never even bother releasing atleast one single player story dlc after so many years.

They're best off making a game different from GTA. Deliberately tanking GTA5 sales is tossing away the perpetual easy money.

I think it has to do with losing 2 of the 4 biggest talents that made the GTAs what they are, and GTA V is just easy money with the online stuff so they can just work on that instead of providing a new story. They are obviously about the money over everything. Rockstar only made 1 new game this gen Red Dead Redemption 2, the entire gen.

I wasn't complaining I was saying in the PS3 Era we had gotten GTA IV , GTA IV Episodes Ballad of Gay Tony and Lost and the Dammed and also GTA V. Versus PS4 we only had GTA V (Ported over) Rockstar is just being lazy off of the whole online thing.

For the racing game I hate open world online especially when I'm trying to play story mode that is what I had disliked about Need for Speed 2015

As long the money comes in and investors are happy, theres no need to work on new games from company perspective. Of course thats no exception, many AAA comapnies do it this way today.
