GCN GameCube Broadband Adapter FSPD

I wrote a FSP server for Windows/Linux in Python 3 so that finding and compiling the original isn't an issue anymore. This allows you to boot games and homebrew over the network at relatively fast speeds without the SD gecko storage size limitations.

I got it to run on my Mac. In Terminal.app I just put python3 fspd.py. The default version of python on Mac is too old so if you don't have python3 you may need to install it.

The default address and port is 0.0.0.0 (localhost) and 7717 respectively. Also, you needn't have a password and the default directory is server (within the same directory you're running from). So in most cases you needn't specify anything.

In the second page of settings in Swiss I just enter the aforementioned in settings regarding FSP (except address will be your computer's IP address which on Mac you can find in System Preferences.app > Network). Finally, you connect by going to the 'eject' tab and choosing the 'File Service Protocol' option.

Hope that helps somebody! I suppose I could make a video if I get around to it.

Would this work on a Raspberry Pi? It runs Linux and I really want to build an all-in-one server for all my homebrew consoles including FSP for GC disk "streaming"

Please do not use a Raspberry Pi. You'll have awful performance.

What do you recommend? I don't want to have to pick up an entire desktop just for a server. And the server would be wired to my router/modem and on 24/7. I don't want to invest anything crazy. I figured if can set up a media server on a Raspberry Pi I could set up this FSP server and a PS2 SMB Server for streaming disks as well. I just need something that can run FSP, FTP, SMB, DLNA, etc. all at once and I can rig 8 to 16TB's of hard drives to.

This should make it easier for everyone, I compiled the python script to a windows executable and added a bat file to launch it.
just edit to bat file as per the instructions and save the changes. And just double click the bat file whenever you need the server running. No command line typing ever time you need to launch it this way.
