I've been thinking about getting the Switch Online Subscription. I have question about the NES and SNES emulator they came out with. I read that in order to keep it useable you have to connect to the internet once every 7 days. Is there a way around the so I can use it in my EmuNAND also? I know there is retroarch that I can play many emulators but I want to mess around with the ones Nintendo made also.

Your console is already susceptible to be flagged and later on, banned, since the very moment you installed unofficial software in it. That's why you shouldn't use your OFW, and that's why you made a back-up of your entire clean NAND as first step before hacking your Switch.
The very moment you hacked your console, you said goodbye to any official web-based service, including the eShop and NSO. So, if you was thinking about getting the paid online you shouldn't, unless you want an instant, permanent ban to any kind of online interaction.
Better stick to your CFW from now on. You can download the patched NSPs for those and play them anyways, even add as many ROMs as you want using homebrew tools.

My system is clean it's never been online expect with a clean NAND from day 1. What I plan to do is setup the system NAND that is clean with eshop stuff the make a new EmuNAND.

My question is is there a way around the check.

I don't know much about getting files like what you mentioned. I usually just use my back ups and mods for my games. I'm not really sure how to get updates and stuff. I dont put my CFW online.

No, there's not. The apps won't check your online connection unless you open them, but you need NSO and an internet connection in order to boot them, that's when they check your system.
Also, it really doesn't matter if your sysnand is clean and you have a separate emunand, your console is has been modified. Even if this is your case, going online with the OFW will mostly result on a permaban, so I strongly suggest you not doing it.

There is a Kefir homebrew that injects an account in your system, but I believe that if you make an emunand out of a clean system, you'll be able to use it.
I *think* there is a patched NSP floating around, but I' not sure. My daughter is holding our Switch in ransom with New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe playing Toadette and me as backup when levels get harder, and they do, so I can't test that fabled NSP. Or homebrew.

Also, there's this one: https://github.com/StarDustCFW/StarDust-Toolkit
Try that on for size. Seems to work to link users to NSO. I might try it later.

Somebody PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that if you have a clean nand back up restore it over the system nand youd have a clean system & that youd be able to use both clean nand on system online and use EmuNAND for all your CFW needs safely. Thats what i've read in the past.

Yes, I think there are patched versions of the NSO apps that work without NSO. Have a look in the usual places.

Yes and no, restoring the NAND backup will roll back log files and that may be bannable if you've been online after the backup was made so that the logs on Nintendo's servers are newer than those in the backup. Best just to keep your sysNAND clean so you don't have to restore.

You're not entirely wrong but honestly the risk is so low as long as you keep your sysNAND clean and your post makes it sound like it's a guaranteed ban. I've been using CFW and online on my Switch since SX OS first implemented emuNAND and as long as you take the necessary precautions, pretty much the only way Nintendo could ban you is if they start detecting the presence of CFW files on the SD, or detecting the emuNAND partition, and if they did that you could simply use a different SD card for OFW. As otherwise it is essentially like having two isolated systems. The only things shared between sysNAND and emuNAND are the SD card files, and the unique console identifiers (and the latter can be patched out with Incognito, which now built in to Atmosphere, so you couldn't get banned with that even if you did go online in emuNAND), and the controllers. I suppose they could store a "CFW detected" flag into the JoyCon or Pro Controller firmware when in CFW and detect this flag in sysNAND OFW but that would not be a good way to do it as the controllers are not tied to a specific Switch so if they did that, using your controller on a friend's hacked Switch could get your own Switch banned which would be bad PR.
Though those with a mod that permanently bridges the pins in the right JoyCon rail should be wary as that could be easily detected.

Ok, that makes sense but I've never been online in that type of situation. I've only went online to attach my Nintendo account before I started to use CFW and never connected since then other to update and again I've always made sure to have clean NAND back ups from right after the update and then restored that same NAND back up when I went to update so all my logs if any should match. I've been very careful about that.
