Hi,

If I was to run an ntsc game on a pal ps2, would it run in ntsc or pal speed?

Cheers,

Anyone?

The thing is that I am looking to buy another ps2, a slim as I only have a phat one. Should I get a pal one or an ntsc one if I want to play ntsc games at “full speed”?

cheers

Yes but you have to patch it it does not work on every game and you have to have a compatible monitor (NTSC) or it will flicker bad.

Thank you for the information. I guess I’ll hunt down a US one then to be on the safe side.

If you use a quality RGB scart cable you shouldn't have any issues with the colours of a NTSC game on a Pal PS2.

I've played a lot of ntscj on my modded Pal PS2 back in the day and never had screen issues.

I'am already supposed that no matter which region game did you run on your PAL console via OPL. And NTSC games on PAL console work the same as NTSC games on NTSC console in speed\frame rate\hertz aspects.
Please, correct me if i wrong
