Thats one of the best i have seen so far to be honest
And will use his tips in my install

I just successfully installed today (dumping NAND now), the caps were much smaller than I thought.
Ordered from TXSwitch on 12/06, took 21 days to be delivered to UK address (cheapest yanwen shipping).
I followed the guide suggested by DPyro and found it to be excellent.

Some very good tips, including using double sided sticky tape to position the solder points.

Just got my SX Core. I guess I was lucky enough to receive it in 3 days. Now all I need to do is find a person in the US who would install this for me.

Has anyone received an SX-Lite from mod3dscards? I ordered mine months ago and have heard nothing, no answer to my emails. I know they have stopped shipping to the USA but I am in the UK and hope they send it.

i guys, my chip just arrived yesterday, and I let a professional modder to solder it in my lite, these are my worries. First time in Sx System btw.

1. As per sxcore manual the memory card is supposed to be fat32 in the. Process of initial boot
2. After a succesful boot can i format an exfat memory card on my switch lite removing the fat32 memory card?
3. Does SX Core automatically support exFat
4. Can i transfer all the files in my fat32 memory card to my 128gb if sx core can automatically read exfat memory card.

You can skip the fat32 requirement if you’ve put in an exfat microsd card in ofw. That would have prompted you to update to support exfat . Then sx will support it too. But you need to have downloaded the update first. Still might be possible if you boot ofw through sx menu and update. If it can read without updating then it’s been done already

Any suggestions ?

i heard corruption only occurs if you interrupt file transfer in homebrew.

fat32 is such a hassle because you need to split backups in order to work.

exfat is so much easier, put files on card, plug and play. Just follow these rules for exfat
1) always unmount or eject sd card before taking out of computer
2) Never interrupt a file transfer in homebrew like gold leaf

I’ve done it this way and never had it corrupted

Corruption happens if you use homebrew at all.
Its the reading/writing in homebrew thatbcauses the corruption not the failed transfers.

If you really need put files on the card instead of using network install.

Just put them on an external exfat hard drive/usb drive and install like that

Fyi safe ejecting has nothing to do with it and was mainly a thing for older drives systems. It's not really an issue anymore.

Either way the corruption has nothing to do with windows just nintys driver implementation

What free program can I use to format a 512gb MicroSD into fat32?
