Hi everyone,

I bought via amazon 4 new sticks for my joycons as they were all drifting really bad. I've cleaned them a few times before but I've decided for a more stable solution.
Anyways both my right joycons are now working perfectly, while the left ones are behaving kinda strange?

Here is a Gif: https://imgur.com/7Ef39gb (and how my joycon looks after inserting the new stick https://imgur.com/IrljncE)

As you can see when the analog goes completely up it flickers down. And when I try to go completely down it stops like halfway (going left and right is working good)
I thought I got two broken sticks so I tried to replace them in the working right joycons and they keep working fine, so I guess it's not the sticks

Both my left joycons are behaving this way. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong with the ribbon cable when I close them up, but I've watched several tutorials and not sure but from the image I posted everything seems fine? Did anyone of you guys found an issue like that?

Thank you all!

have u tried placing the old drifting sticks back?
if it's not the same behavior then probably your ribbons (especially the connection) are acting up.

Thanks for your anwser.
I just tried it: looks like a little bit different
The cursor is not centered and I can't go completely up neither completely down, just left and right

Am I attaching this ribbon poorly?

it could be two problems, you didn't secure the latch on the ribbon cable well or at all, or the joysticks you got are not very good quality. the first thing I do after replacing a joystick in a joy-con is go to the calibration menu, calibrate the stick to a full shutdown on your switch (by holding down the power button then selecting shut down) then power back on the switch and use the joy-con you install the joystick in to press a button 3 times. that re-syncs the calibration of the joy-con.

They are likely not original sticks, which means they will likely be worse quality and might have other issues the original sticks don't.
