Hello everyone.

I'm going to buy a new Switch with improved battery life.
I'm NOT planning to hack the Switch, nor the old one, but planning to still use the old one depending on situations going on etc. This means NOT planning to transfer either.

This brings up the following questions:

Can I safely have my Nintendo account on the new Switch with friends on it, playtime, etc. while having my account on my old Switch too? (This doesn't mean logging on both Switches simultaneously, why'd I do that :P)
Can I re-download my digitally purchased games on the new Switch with my Nintendo account?
If I register a new cartridge on the new Switch using my Nintendo account ofcourse, do I still have the added gold points still added when I'm on my old Switch using ofcourse the same Nintendo account?
I have Nintendo Switch Online. Can I just use it on the new Switch?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, works like a charm :)

I forgot to ask 2 things.
1. Are the Joycons you get with the Switch drift fixed?
2. Haha, my sister decided to play Animal Crossing on the old Switch just with my account, I have the physical version.
Now I love the game too (too bad she plays with bloody time skipping)

If I buy Animal Crossing digitally on my new Switch, can we play both Animal Crossing at the same time? One gamecard and one digital.

Thanks,

I could think of a couple reasons, such as trading Pokemon between 2 games, or lending one to a friend for multiplayer.
Why else would you ever need 2 Switches if not to use both at the same time?

Nope, not fixed. See: Still ongoing class action lawsuit.

LMAO, I better play this game using the Pro Controller then, if that hasn't the same issue...

Do you know about the 2nd question I asked? I'm about to buy the game digitally.

AFAIK the way having your account linked to multiple Switches works is that if any of the paid digital content is in use on the primary Switch the secondary Switch can't use any of the digital content linked to that account (and it checks online any time you try to start a digital game on the secondary console)
That means if you are playing the physical version of a game, the digital content you own can still be used on a secondary Switch.
BUT, if you own any DLC for that particular game, I'm not sure what happens. I have no idea if DLC is also checked so that the secondary Switch won't be able to run any digital purchases if the primary console is running a game with DLC attached.
The secondary Switch can still play physical games regardless of what's running on the primary Switch. DLC shared between the two Switches might become inaccessible on the secondary Switch though, again not sure.

So, if I wanted to play animal crossing and had a CFW Switch and a OFW Switch and wanted to play on the same island, I would need to make another profile and buy another copy of the game? There’s no work around?
