What is the best way to load more Wii virtual console games than there are spaces on the main menu?

Ideally I’d like them to not actually install to the home screen and just be able to view them via usb loader gx.

is something like this possible with many virtual console games?

Yes. you want to look at settting up a virtual nand and then filling it with game wads. sneek can load on boot and show you this alternate nand as a real wii menu, filled with games, but the number it can show you is limited by the number of slots 52? ish- USB loader and Wiiflow will both show you the lot, you don't have to boot into, or even create, another nand - although doing that does have full compatibility - anyhoo - you're looking for sneek or uneek, best of luck...

So to make sure I have this correct.

I want to create a virtual nand with sneek or uneek. Install all my vc wads to the virtual nand. Then use usb loader gx to show all the vc wads from the virtual nand on my real nand?

Yes, but you use GX to view the titles from within GX - the wads don't ever touch your real nand.
I was suggesting you could boot to this emulated nand - you use the nintendo interface and it loads the nand as if it were real, but again, you don't install these onto your actuall wii.

Ok thank you!
Is it possible to copy all my vc wads to my hdd and automatically install them on the virtual nand?

I heard you can use showmiiwads but when I try to do that the program just freezes. Both from within the modmii windows program and the standalone showmiiwads program.

edit:
Now that I think about it I was able to install a few vc wads on my actual Wii nand just to see if they work and they did. I used one of the mod managers to install the wads I had saved to my sd card.

So within the emulated nand I should be able to use the same mod manager program and batch install all the wads, then use usb loader gx to point to my virtual nand and load them.

does that sound correct?

and also, would I have to use snort48+ on the virtual nand to get past the limit of installable channels or does that limit automatically no longer apply on the virtual nand?

if you have a look on here for how to use showmiiwads, you'll find something. you need to alternate between the tab saying showmiiwads and the same one saying showmiinand. i'm a bit fuzzy, it's been a while...you right click the wads you want to install, install to nand. modmii helps you build a nand on your hard drive, you define that location in showmiiwads. you don't use a file explorer to drop the wads on the hard drive, showmiiwads handles dropping them into a nand on your hard drive. you can use wiixplorer to find a file on your actual nand, drop it into the one on your HD...this is just to move your wiimote , i think, not necessary, i think it's "cert.sys", but it might not be...you really should look it up before going ahead with these instructions...

I was having issues with showmiiwads crashing every time I added my vc wad folder, both within modmii and the standalone showmiiwads program. I was trying to load quite a lot of vc wads and the program just hangs and crashes each time.

I was thinking about using the modmii to create the virtual nand and neek installation files, then within the virtual nand on the console using a mod manager to batch install my vc wads like I did on my real home brew nand.
