Pokemon developer Game Freak is bringing one of their other projects to the PC platform. Little Town Hero, which originally released for the Nintendo Switch in 2019, is getting its previously-announced PlayStation 4 port next week on June 23rd, while the newly-revealed Steam version is set for launch on June 30th. Meanwhile, NIS America will be publishing physical editions of the game, due out for the PS4 the same date as its digital release, and a "Big Idea Edition" for the Switch, launching June 26th.

I dunno - not only Sega still publish a lot of cool games, but they're also pretty open to experimentation, be it releasing bizarre spin-offs for their biggest series, or allowing talented fans to take the wheel from time to time. To me, Sega is ahead of the curve in some ways, especially when it comes to keeping their legacy alive (their retro collections and recent remakes of older games put most other publishers to shame). GameFreak, on the other hand, is pretty much behind the curve, as much as I still like their output :<
You nailed it. It has taken Sega so long to figure out that everything they make in house is sub par and they should be publishing more. Sega has incredible vision for projects and seeing their potential, even the stuff they make in house are cool concept wise, but their developers are god awful and can't execute beyond making game design 101 level of games. Which brings be back to Gamefreak, playing though Sword recently it blew me away how their animation were so stiff and lifeless you'd think they were still working with pixel art. At least the game was fun, presentation was garbage.

It's kind of ironic that the developers behind the most successful franchise in entertainment history are completely ignorant to modern game design and everything 3D is outsourced because they can't handle that level development.

I still love them. =/
??? Mario games do just fine?
