Horizon II: Forbidden West confirmed not to be a PS5 launch title, releases in 2021

Sony's finale to their PlayStation 5 event put the spotlight on a sequel to 2017's Horizon: Zero Dawn, titled Horizon II: Forbidden West. However, unlike most games shown, Forbidden West lacked any form of release window, leading to questions as to whether the game would be available on, or shortly after the console's launch. Just like with Insomniac and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the team at Guerilla Games has uploaded a trailer describing more about the game and its world. The game director says there will hardly be any load times, whether you're fast traveling or booting up the game, and that the game's world will stretch "from Utah all the way to the Pacific Ocean in the west", leading to a larger map than the original game. Horizon Forbidden West launches sometime in 2021, for the PlayStation 5.

Is a single person surprised by this? I would reasonably expect almost none of the reveals especially the huge ones to be launch titles

They're just strumming up PS5 hype
