Now i doubt his switch is even in RCM mode, because if you have done nothing on your PC. The drivers should be untouched and be a working condition. Your PC is fixed variable, your switch is the one not in the condition to receive a payload.
Maybe you try holding power button and force shutdown your switch, then click the power button once. This will always put you in RCM unless your battery is dead or usb c port is damage.
Whatever you do to your switch for the sake of common sense, back it up. Not only your motive of updating to firmware 10 is a good one. You totally negligent that you have to install sigpatches, just go read it up and save others some time help you.
