I have never felt so foolish as on Monday when the error popped up on my Switch. The second it happened: I immediate knew I had forgot to re-enable the manual DNS. Sure enough, it was exactly as I suspected.

The irony of this situation: I am now forced to pirate a Nintendo console title (well DLC) for the first time ever because in a week's time the DLC will drop and now because of said ban my CFW no longer has access to the Expansion Pass 1 that I purchased for both Sword & Shield. Oh Nintendo.

Hello all,

On Wednesday, we willl be globally receiving the update to our games for Isle of Armor (those who choose to let the update progress.)

Over the last few days, the demo version of the 1st Expansion was made available to several gaming news outlets. While IGN provided us a glazed over write-up, one of the Latin language provides was able to release just video of their short bit of the game. This confirms that each expansion will contain it's OWN individual Wild Area which it's OWN individual set of Dens. Between this new information and the existing save structure of the game.

We know a few undeniable things :
  1. The SAVE data & active memory will increase to accomodate the Dens & Raids of a second Wild Area
  2. The change to the SAVE data means that once again the save data will be be changed (meaning the save data will not be readable on v1.1.1 or lower.)
  3. The change to the SAVE data means editors and readors (ie PKHeX) will need time to add support for the new structure to their code (this happened when we shifted from v1.0.0 to v1.1.0)
  4. The shift in memory usage of the games to accomodate the new Wild Area & other features means that some percentage of codes for v1.1.1 will NOT work with the new version.
  5. The shift in memory means assist tools like Capture Sight may also need to update to accomodate for the changes to where the data they display is located in memory.
  6. The above will repeat with the second expansion.
  7. There is an expansion to the clothes so clothing tools may have to be rehunted from scratch.
Capture Sight will be a GREAT indicator of whether cheat codes for editing Pokémon attributes will still work or if the shift in memory will need to be hunted. (I am no hunter otherwise I would try to help.)

Haven't downloaded the shield update yet, so you need to wait.

What Firmware is the minimum for this DLC?

Whenever i try to go to the isle of armor, the game just crashes, everything else works normally.
I did check for corrupted data, but nothing was found, all custom sysmodules deactivated, flight mode enabled/disabled, rebooted, nothing works, as soon as i try to go the new isle the screen goes all blue and "An error has occured..."
//Edit: Updated my Switch to 10.0.4 AMS 0.13.0, didn't work, then i found some old romfs patches on my sd card, guess they don't work anymore, but the dlc now does.

Codes work by the way...

Is there a 6iv cheat you can turn on for encounters/eggs/fossil or is the iv judge cheat the same thing? Thank you for the quick update.

Whenever i try to go to the isle of armor, the game just crashes, everything else works normally.
I did check for corrupted data, but nothing was found, all custom sysmodules deactivated, flight mode enabled/disabled, rebooted, nothing works, as soon as i try to go the new isle the screen goes all blue and "An error has occured..."

Codes work by the way...

Needing to keep the Always Shiny OFF code toggled on after activating it else encounters will crash your game caught me off guard there, but it doesn't seem that big of a deal.

So you're saying that this code, will allow you to turn off the always shiny code, without having to keep the code toggled on? Because this code change now just crashes my game whether it is on or off lol.

updated the TitleID/Build ID and sword cheat file that Falo has provided

Any ideas on why it crashes my game if I change the cheat names?

This one in particular:

[(v1.2.0) Watts doesn't decrease] -> [Watts doesn't decrease]

I was trying to remove the (v1.2.0) and shorten the cheat names so they fit better in the overlay, for some reason the game doesn't like me shortening this one (I've not tried them all).

you must of changed something else in the file, also remember there needs to be one free line at the top of the file before the cheat list starts and a line between each seperate code block

this 1.1.1 code works fine with the new update as well. The last line is not working so if someone updates that, this code will be a perfect 6IV code. @Falo feel free to include it in your file

Thanks for the response.

I can assure you I have changed nothing else. I've taken the file exactly as provided by Falo (honestly, greatly appreciated, thank you) and simply removed (v1.2.0) from the start of each line. This caused the game to freeze up/crash to atmosphere error screen. I then went each cheat one by one and found that it only happens with that one cheat. If I leave the rest alone, and remove the (v.1.2.0) from just that one cheat, it freezes and crashes out. If I remove the (v1.2.0) from every other cheat except this one, its fine.

Additionally, in original file submitted by Falo (again, thanks so much) there is no free line at the top of the file, and in fact some of the blocks of codes do not have a free line between them either and the codes all work.

If anyone knows why [(v1.2.0) Watts doesn't decrease] is causing this issue, I'd love to hear it!
