Yo, popping in here since I can't find a better place to ask this

When I play Final Fantasy 6 in snes9x on old3ds, the mosaic tile battle transition doesn't occur, and instead the characters just awkwardly stand there for a second before it cuts to the battle. Is there some setting in snes9x that makes it so this battle transition occurs or should I look elsewhere?

SNES9x for 3DS does not emulate the mosaic effect, as that was one of the sacrifices made in order to keep it running as well as it does on Old 3DS.

Snes9x for the 3DS is not dead. @FateForWindows works on the emulator in his free time.
Actually... I've barely been able to touch it. Managing the code nowadays is a pain, and I've had other hobbies that I've been trying to do. I still manage the repo, but I haven't been able to do much on the emulator itself. I do think sooner or later I'll get around to getting it to build with newer devkitARM and libctru versions, but for now, the project's inactive.

I would love if you could get the english translation of this game to work
Tenshi no Uta - Shiroki Tsubasa no Inori
The japanese game works fine but the english translation won't display any txt at all the game will play but you don't know what anyone is saying

You can play it on the Wii if you have one.
English translation of Tenshi no Uta - Shiroki Tsubasa no Inori is compatible with Snes9x GX for the Wii.

Oh
Well that's good to know thanks
I know that I can use my cell phone too, but...I would love to use the new 3ds or even the PSP
Sadly no one is really bringing new things to the psp that I know of, the last emulater that I know of was a port of temp_gba
And it runs great, it's also on retroarch but there is a stand alone version
The work that was done on the 3ds SNES9X emulater is great though every game except this one runs great
And the picodrive emulater is just amazing as well, the only genesis game that I've tried that doesn't work is Star Odyssey

Here's hoping it won't stretch into indefinites enough to be an abandoned project again. :D

(*weeps in imperfect sounds of Kirby Superstar in SNES9x 1.30*)

If you are able to have a look in your spare time do you think that you could get the english translation of
Tenshi no Uta - Shiroki Tsubasa no Inori
(Song of the Angel) to work properly
The game loads up fine but no txt is displayed while playing the game making it unplayable
Thank you for all your hard work on the emulaters you released so far

@FateForWindows if you ever get the chance to work on this, two little things that would really make this (and the NES one) feel more feature complete compared to other 3DS emulators are:
1) Disabling 3D mode without having to physically move down the slider
2) Turning off the bottom screen entirely, not just blanking it.
Hope you find the time!

(Edit: forgot to mention I’m on the latest version, I believe 1.30) Couple game compatibility questions -

1) Secret of Mana - extremely bad sound problems with the music (lots of screeching)... is this a known problem and if so is there a workaround?

2) G.O.D.: Mezameyo to Yobu Koe ga Kikoe - has some really bad graphical issues and flickering. Has anyone gotten this one to work?

Yay, it would be nice to have a standalone PCSX emulator wrapped in bubble's GUI.
Man, that would be so awesome. how feasible would that be to take on?

That's a good question best left to answer by someone who develops/ports emulators or forwarders: bubble2k16, JustinWeiss, MasterFeizz, Sakitoshi, etc.

Sorry, I'm not a emulator dev. All I ever done was change some colors, banners, and icons on bubble's emus.

Square/Enix games are notoriously difficult to emulate with properly emulated audio. Have you changed the DSP/audio core option in the emulator settings?

Huh... Secret of Mana's audio is mostly fine now, for some reason (there's still a weird clicking sound sometimes but it's ignorable... sort of). I haven't changed any settings.

I did try the Blargsnes audio core, but the problem persisted. I just booted it up and it works fine now for some reason.

G.O.D. still has graphical and flickering issues, though.

I´m playing G.O.D.: Mezameyo to Yobu Koe ga Kikoe (patched rom) right now on my O2DS with Snes9x 3DS Version 1.30.
I´m walking through the city with no glitches so far.
