Pokemon Presents live stream set for tomorrow

EyUdUGh.png

They have Pokemon news, and we want Pokemon news, according to The Pokemon Company. The official Twitter account for the series is teasing an event being held soon, called Pokemon Presents, which will kick off tomorrow on June 17th at 6 am PDT. The Tweet itself is fairly vague, only mentioning Pokemon news in general, while the Japanese account offers a bit more detail, stating that (according to Google Translate) the stream will feature 11 minutes of new information about the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. Be sure to tune in, or check back and see our coverage when the stream goes live.

It was revealed that DLC was started before SwSh released so it's pretty bullshit that GF is charging us money for content that should've been in the game to begin with. The Isle of Armor should've been a free update not paid DLC, it's a huge slap in the face to the fans. Not cool GF, not cool

boy I sure do love consumer entitlement assuming that just because the company is the problem means that they themselves aren't ALSO the problem
They had no legitimate reason to cut Pokémon from the dex, especially with how much data is still in the game. If they stood behind their excuses they wouldn't be reintroducing cut Pokémon back in. They'd only release new Pokémon. Which they should be doing because the expansion pass was $30, half the price of a new game.

I mean you're not wrong but people are seriously exaggerating things here.
This is basically them saying "ok you want a third version with more content? here." and actually prioritizing the people that bought the game so that you don't have to pay double just for the expanded content.
Plus... the price jump is because it's no longer a handheld-only title but a full triple A main console one. Blah blah it doesn't look the part blah blah, even reusing models doesn't make it fundamentally as easy to produce as the previous ones.
Besides... all this bullshit is basically just due to the Pokemon Company rushing GameFreak. The devs themselves aren't at fault.
I wouldn't call this an AAA game. Even remotely. The game is still has the amount of content of a handheld game. The only real improvement is the wild area and overworld encounters. And yeah, reusing models saves them a ton of work. So does the crappy animations in the game. The game is something that could've released on last gen consoles or probably even Vita, the game is a glorified handheld game on a glorified handheld. The new content we've seen looks pitiful. I wouldn't have even bought the DLC if I actually thought people would be willing to help out people who don't have it. I'll sure trade spares of new and returning 'mons to people who don't have it. Third versions and sequels usually more actual story content too, this is just mostly cut content, with a bit of the normal postgame we get in a third version, but without the new story content. If the confirmed new mons are the only ones we're getting, we're basically getting something like what we got in Ultra Sun/Moon but without the new story stuff that game had. So 30 bucks for a possibly 6 new mons and a some new formes. Fantastic deal.

1) Big if- they've practically hinted that there's still plenty more new legendaries and whatnot.
2) There is story tho.
3) The new content in the DLC is pretty damn significant.
4) Their reason to cut Pokemon was because they were rushed by the Pokemon Company and didn't intend to release it this early. If they had just completely reused older models without even increasing textures and poly count, it would have looked janky even compared to... itself! The devs literally did not have the time or chance to properly implement everything the fans wanted.
