I am using a WII U with the mocha CFW and am ripping my purchased copy of Breath Of The Wild using dumpling. It has been ripping for over 2 days. There is movement (it's been in the content/terrain/A/Mainfield folder copying files for over a day) but it is taking FOREVER. Is this normal? Is there a way to speed this up?

You could just try another SD card.

My guess would be that your SD card that you're ripping to is a fake/bad SD card or unusually terrible for whatever reason.

It works fine when used on a computer? Are we pretty sure that's the issue before I stop this copy?

If you value your time at all, just google "reddit Wii U USB Helper workaround" and you can just download practically any Wii U game off of it very quickly.

Advise what? Go ahead and rip the discs then. There's no difference though than downloading them if you own the games than ripping the discs but that's your choice.

Hasn't Nintendo cracked down on people using the usb helper? All guides I have found said to stop using it as Nintendo is reporting usage of it to isps?

Fyi it was the app being used. I was using dumper and switched to disc2app and ripped the disc in 30 minutes.
@Lia you might want to read this. :) Also there's finally something I can give back to you: https://github.com/V10lator/NUSspli/blob/master/src/ioThread.c - using a I/O queue speeds up USB writes (and when I say speeds up I mean from around 500 kbit/s to around 40 mbit/s). libIOSUHAX just hates small writes, so you have to queue them in RAM (according to IIRC Maschell 1 MB blocks are best but I tried with 512 KB blocks andf it works just great for my usecase).

//EDIT: @Lia in case you look at the queue codes note that line 37 and 38 are leftovers for when the queue was more simple (but also more unstable) which means it was a linked list. So this allowed stuff like:
Code:
struct WriteQueueEntry;
typedef struct WriteQueueEntry WriteQueueEntry;
struct WriteQueueEntry
{
    WriteQueueEntry *next;
};
Also note that the queue is a bit overkilled atm as it's prepared for future work.

Is that recent? Over the past 2 years or so I’ve never had an issue personally.
That's bullshit. Nintendo won't do anything if you download from the NUS (in fact they can't even check if legit download from eShop or illegal without a huge effort which would most likely trigger a lot of false positives). Also a good ISP will give a f**k on what Nintendo says.
