Yes, Spanish and more languages use the same term for both.

P.D: Los astures no nos complicamos la vida con tanta terminología.

Was the search for translations fake or did they seriously accept such a bad translation when they had multiple people offering their service (I asked them if they still needed a translation and they told me they already had enough applicants for a german one)
Literally a 5th grader would have done a better job at translating. Not only are some sentences basicly translated in a google translate fashion, but also there are multiple spelling mistakes of words themself and some are translated to a different meaning.
I sure hope TX somehow badly translated it themself and didnt actually send someone a sx core and lite for 15 minutes of bad work.

pff if you see the spanish translation, you would flip out hehehehe.. typos every 4 words

Jeez, TX should really stop having anything to do with the community, they send stuff to people who havent soldered once in their life, they let people translate who probably had the language in school for 2-3 years as a third or forth language (if at all) and then they pay too much for that. Fiverr would have been a better option.

If only I had known there is no translation check, should have just applied for all languages and used google translate :P

Wow. I can't believe they rejected my translation for of that crap just because the other guy applied a couple hours ahead. I looked for the same fonts they used in the original, made it as neutral as possible (for both Latin America and Spain) and triple-checked my translation for typos. I even replaced the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney meme with the Spanish graphics from the game.

And I literally did this in under 2 hours. WTF Team Xecuter.

Speak to them. I also was rejected, but they told me the reward will only be sent after put online and user approve it. Because obviously, they don't know if what they see is correct since apparently they only speak English or Chinese. They might use your translation and send you the rewards if they see many complaints.

I hope so, the Spanish translation they uploaded wants you to use "adhesivo térmico" which is thermal conducting GLUE instead of the removable paste we all use in our computers. You don't have to speak Spanish to know this is very wrong: a simple Google Images search will prove this. Pretty dangerous mistake if you ask me

And that's in the first page already along with several other typos and missed accents.

I can understand that in many parts of latin america "remover" == to remove. But yeah, in Spain "remover" = to stir.

Y Puxa Asturies, cagonrós.

Exactly, remover is an anglicism and it's wrong in spanish. In spanish is the same as "stir".. but apart from that.. a lot of misspells, typos and so on in every single page... totally embarrasing and sloppy job

I'm sure yours is much better... we should put in touch with SX team... They're not going to send you a modchip, but at least, it's going to be uploaded a well-done job

Puxa asturies!

I've translated both core & lite to romanian.
The manuals have been uploaded to tx website.
I've checked some other translations and while most were decent, others were made in a hurry.
They are sending me the modchips and now I'm waiting for the tracking # and looking for a decent tiny soldering guy in my area, as I don't have proper tools (lacking the needle tip soldering iron - I have a normal one, and jeweler's googles)

Just because you did better than the other person does not mean they have to accept yours. Welcome to the real world

Exactly. TX is under no obligation to choose any specific person. Just as in any transaction, they can "hire" whomever they want for the job.

I offered to do the Portuguese translations the day they put up the request. They responded a few hours later very politely saying that they already had people who did Portuguese translations for them, thanked me and said that if their usual people couldn't provide the translations in time they'd get back to me. A simple and very professional exchange.

Sx lite being shipped on 16th June....
Sorry man, you're not right, the're not the same types of "escaleras"

Stairs are the one with steps (like the ones you use to go to the first floor) and ladder is the one you place in a wall to reach something high (escalera de pared)

With weld and solder happens the same... not exactly the same

And don't trust in google translator.. is shit, try wordreference
I didn't say they were the same, I said they are written exactly the same.

What happens with English is that they use an element with different purposes in different words, instead of using a single word and conjugating it with another to understand its use. Then they avoid putting together a sentence. It is like the abbreviations they use (Do not = Don´t).

And yes, you're right, translators only make communication a lot easier, but they misinterpret sentences.

We can see a case about "arcoiris" (an arc of colors, like the eyes), but in English it would be rainbow,
On the other hand, if we translated rainbow into Spanish it would be "arco de lluvia", or "arco en la lluvia", which again would be rainbow according to the official translation.

And it is normal that the words that we use the least to translate, we do not know their other meanings, and it is not necessary to make me understand the error in a bad way.

But it's a pity the accept one just for being the fastest. The fair is picking up some and comparing with people form its country to vote the best

Yes but if your gonna do a BAD... ABSOLUTELY BAD JOB, and bad translated... it's better use the English one ang Google translator if you don't know a word about English

It's not the same as "Do not" and "Don't", you also use abreviations.. I don't think you always say "Vamos para allá", you say "Vamos pallá" or "Para adelante" you say "Palante"

Every language develop very different, and they have their own rules. The spanish grammar is way complex and more accurate compared to English, but on the other hand it's a 99,99% phonetic language it's pronounced the same way as written (like Italian, German, Japanese and a very few more) and it has 2-3 times less vocabulary

There are strange rules in every language, but that's the way it is.. in English they sort the adjectives and in spanish we use the subjunctive hehehe

But you have to be more humble with your no mother tonge language because its very likely your'e wrong hehehe

I agree. It is fair that they assign the job on a first-come-first-serve basis. But they also need to evaluate the quality of the work that has been done and hire the following person in line if the result is not up to proper standards. In this case, the Spanish translation was not only lacking, it was even dangerous.

Fortunately, they reviewed it and admitted that since they don't speak all languages, checking them is impossible until they are uploaded and seen by the community.
IMHO this is the right attitude. They are humble enough to acknowledge the room for improvement and provide the users with the best manuals they can get.

Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if someone came after me and did a better job. I'm not a sore loser and it would be for the sake of the entire community.

I encourage you to check the documents available in your language, and if you see that they are really bad, just offer TX your help politely, with examples of how you could do a better job at it.

They are good guys and they care, really.

p.s. In case it didn't come across clearly: Yes, I got the job in the end.

Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.
