Ok, yeah, I definitely need to check it out thenAFAIK Infinity is PSP2+ in every regard, definitely check it out later. You can pretty much port you save between then, so there's little to lose.

that wasnt so much an issue as it was one of the balance things they changed. they had an invulnerability nanoblast (which is what i usually used). its still in PSP2i but i dont know if theres anything special about it now.it also fixes the major issue with the beast's Nanoblast....You're ACTUALLY INVULNERABLE when you use it.

but yea its an improvement over the original game in every way.
you can now strafe while casting technics with wands (as well as some ranged weapons you couldnt strafe with before), and all technics are faster and aim better, making mage and spellsword-type builds actually fun to play. new technics have also been added that allow for a lot more strategies (Sazonde OP).
the functionality and effectiveness of charged shots has been greatly improved for all ranged weapons. you can now change the function of your charged shot at the weapon shop. stats for some stuff has been changed or rebalanced too, and overall the combat just feels a lot better.
there are tons of new missions, new items, new costumes, as well as a pseudo-random mission generator that gives you a LOT more to do in the late game. rebirthing lets you improve your stats significantly, and you can also spend the points to get extend codes (which were really hard to get before without multiplayer). the type level limit is now 50, with lots of new abilities, and they reduced the point requirement to level up at higher type levels to cut down on grinding.
as well as lots of other little things, like being able to combine weapons to increase elemental values, and having double storage space.
really, its like PSP2 was just the demo, and Infinity is the full game.
Infinity never had anything but a japanese version, so yes.The patch is based off of Japanese version? So, it will also act as an Undub, correct? Japanese voices + English text?
agreed, though what precious little VA we got in the english version was pretty good. I can still remember mika in the end cutscene quite clearly.Personally I'm a sucker for voiced dialogues and I think they add a lot to the experience, and the game has drawn some pretty big name actors so that's a plus.
Really looking forward to his patch even more since the PC launch of PSO2 has been such a shitshow so far. I have reinstalled the game 4 times now and have given up.
you got that right. its pretty terrible by modern standards. even by its own relative standards, there were a lot of rough spots.I tried playing PSO Portable 1 the other day and yeaaaah... that one hasn't aged well.
Please read the very first post. And, this whole thread if you have the time. Long story short, they are now in the end-user quality checking and testing. If all things are keeping on track and nothing goes wrong, they are going to release this by the last quarter of this year. Fingers crossed.when is the release??
