Hi all! Sorry if I'm not in the right place
I would like to know if any of you would have an estimate (in euros if possible ^^) for a first model Switch, unpatched
  • In his box
  • His pair of blue/red Joycon (which does not "drift", no problem)
  • Dock and power supply provided, but not the HDMI cable
  • Already modified, with Atmosphere
  • RCM mode, firmware 10.0.2
  • 128GB MicroSD card with pre-installed games (Doesn't matter, but still good to take :P) + Backup of the nand (But done when the console has been hacked)
  • I don't know if the console's banned or not :/

Thank you in advance, and thank you for reading :/

I'm sorry, I misspoke, I'm actually the one who would sell the console... xD

If you are planning to sell it here on Gbatemp you would need 100 posts to gain access to buying/selling section, don't sell backup of games, it is illegal you can get into serious trouble if the Intellectual property owners decided to file lawsuit. Can probably get like 400 or so for it due to high demand low supply.

Thanks for the advice, but I wasn't thinking of selling on Gbatemp, already looking around ;)
Thanks for the advice of the pre-installed games, anyway it was just to point it out, I doubt it's worth it ^^

And thanks for the estimate! I'll write it down and see if there are other estimates; thank you.

Why do you give it up ? Any reason ?

Because of ban risk I wouldn't pay more than 100€

The goal is to have a console that can be modified, so emulation + "cheaper" game :P

Why do you give it up ? Any reason ?

I don't play it anymore, it's been gathering dust for months, the games I was waiting for/have on it (Xenoblade 2, pokemon...) don't interest me too much after all :/

In the past I sold switch units for $400 / $360 / $280 (the guy who bought the switch for $400 had bought it ) so the answer to your question is around $450 due to the supply and demand but it sounds to me that you dont have a dualboot and the sysnand is dirty so I guess final price would be around $400

Wow that would only knock $50 off? I don't know about switches, is a non/dualboot and dirty sysnand fixable at all?

You can't "clean" the sysnand, thus you can never go online with it. It really shouldn't matter that much, as I think large majority of Switch CFW users do not ever go online.

Yeah but $400 when you can't even play it online, you could probably spend that on joycons + a laptop that could emulate switch games in HD, right?

True! If you're the kind of guy who likes to hack his console, you should also be the kind of guy who doesn't care about online.

You can clean a dirty sysnand but if you are banned cleaning it wouldn't matter. When I initally hacked my switch my sysnand was dirty but I had cleaned it up and applied the dualboot so it's good. Most end users will have a dirty sysnand only a few people have a dualboot system. Most people who sell switches sell them via dirty sysnand they don't take the time to apply a partion and set up emummc. They just pop the CFW files and cut it on lol.

You can think you've cleaned it all you want. Prove to me zero telemetry is left over. I do not recommend doing this and attempting

I used Haku33 and it wiped off everything and formatted it to factory settings if it was dirty I would have been banned. I tested e-shop and everything was accessible (keep in mind I never once connected my Switch to wifi offically I always used a 90NDS)

it worked for me I can't guarantee it will work for others.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
