Thanks a lot for your hard work!! I just seem to have a problem with booting it with reverseNX in docked mode with handheld flag. It crashes at the very beginning of the game selection. The mod seems to work just fine with the charger and reverseNX works as intended with the other mods i've tried.
Only Dragon Quest XI S crashes.
Anyone encountered something similar or any ideas?

I'm playing in docked mode only and realized that the resolution seems to even be below 720p native in docked mode. Someone pointed me to this thread.

Question: Can I somehow make the game run at 720p in docked mode with the hi-res mod posted here or is this only for handheld mode?

These mods posted by Niko_of_Death have 720p handheld and 1080p docked mode. Unsure whether anyone made a mod with static 720p docked mode though, but these mods should work pretty well (I use one of them myself, though I forget which one)

Sorry for not doing this earlier - Here's 3 with static 1080p, no other enhancements - one with FXAA, one with TAA, one with no AA. I haven't tested these at all though, so no idea how playable they are framerate-wise.
Let me know if you have any texture issues, the streaming budget might need to be pushed up a bit.

To edit the rendering res of DQXIS you first need the inis for the game, to get them you should either decrypt your own pak file from the romfs or download JackGame.zip from here, the file youll need to edit is DefaultGame.ini in JackGame\Config\, scroll until the end of the ini and youll find this:
Code:
+ScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="GameDefault",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=66.66,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=66.66)
+ScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="PartyTalk",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=66.66,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=83.33)
+ScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="PhotoMode",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=66.66,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=100)
+ScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="CutScene",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=83.33,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=83.33)
+ScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="Casino",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=83.33,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=83.33)
+ScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="Custom")
; 動的解像度の場合のスクリーンパーセンテージ(据え置きは1600x900ベース、携帯モードは1088x612ベース)
+DynamicResolutionScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="GameDefault",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=83.33,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=85,bDynamicResolution=True)
+DynamicResolutionScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="PartyTalk",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=83.33,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=85,bDynamicResolution=True)
+DynamicResolutionScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="PhotoMode",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=83.33,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=125)
+DynamicResolutionScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="CutScene",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=66.66,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=66.66)
+DynamicResolutionScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="Casino",ConsoleModeScreenPercentage=83.33,HandheldModeScreenPercentage=83.33)
+DynamicResolutionScreenPercentageSettings=(TypeName="Custom")
Edit those 66.66 or 83.33 values to whatever you like even more than 100 and if you want to disable dynamic res change bDynamicResolution=True to bDynamicResolution=False. After that repack using lista.txt.
Credit to @cucholix for sending me the inis.

This may seem to confirm my suspicion about the game: I'm using my Switch docked in 720p TV mode and let my mcable upscale the 720p image to 1080p. Xenoblade 2 looks absolutely fantastic this way, clear and sharp. But DQXIS looks extremely blurry. My theory was that it doesn't use absolute resolutions to scale it to, but relative percentages of the current resolution. So essentially it scales down my 720p TV output to 88.33% of 720p for no reason!? That's just stupid.

Is there a way to make the resolution a fixed 720p in docked mode without any downscaling + deactivating anything that may cause blurryness (I guess FXAA does introduce a lot of blurryness right?)?

@Niko_of_Death would also really like a fixed 900p for docked and 720p handheld at 30 fps locked too please... ive been tried to do it with no success for docked one (i just use reverse nx for handheld but i don't like playing handheld):( Not even need enhancements, just non blurry resolution and stable 30 fps with max oc, cause as it is, it's too blurry and really hurt my experience

Well since people were able to decrypt DQXIS pak files, I updated my mod to edit romfs rather than exefs to acheive 60 FPS. With that I made some improvement to the mod f.e the resolution will drop as low as 360p if it cant acheive 60FPS so OC will not need to be so high even on open areas, and I also discovered how to edit the rendering resolution of the game so fixed 720p or higher is possible and the mod will work on any version of the game even if an update drops later. It should also work on the japanese version of the game but you should edit the titleid. If you want to use both mods at the same time just change the name of one of the paks to "pakchunk0-Switch_2_p.pak" btw the Hi-Res mod make the game run at 720p at all time so OC is needed.
Is the Hi res mode only for handheld mode or does this amke it fixed 720p in docked mode as well?

But I've put it into the titles directory. The hack seems to work, but when I try to delete the folder it's not there anymore. So should I go to contents and and delete this folder there?
Yes, files are moved from titles to contents at boot because people like you don't read Atmosphere changelog.

Any chance of getting a version that allows for DR up to 720P in handheld and no AA? I feel like that would keep performance in the sweet spot but allow it to look sharper if you are charging while in hand held. The 720p locked version looks great but is in the low 20's in handheld unless you are charging.

So. I have confing from 4pda (Russian forum) and it seems it should be DR up to 720p, but it doesn't seem to work in cutscenes. Even with max overclock. But fixed 720p confing from these thread seem to work fine. I tried looking into it myself, but I can't figure out why in Russian confing DR settings doesn't work. Maybe one of you can look into it?
First file is Russian, second file is from this thread

Thank you for that config it works great! Now I can play just on battery with good performance and get some better resolution while charging!

I found this mod by @Niko_of_Death which has a very good resolution and didn’t impact the fps that much (balanced). but there’s just one issue.
This mod is flickering and it comes with 60fps as well. I wonder if we can make it lock at 30fps and solve that flickering it’ll be amazing

Here’s the mod file.

Hello all Bro. I tried Pak using many tools is unsuccessful ( I tried pakchunk0-Switch_p.pak Originally in Russian, it works fine. Because it's original, but when I try to unpak and repak again without modifying Files Mod it doesn't work)

I want to try translating this game into my language. But me, anyone have any tools for this game rePak?

Bit of a slightly unrelated question:
How did you make this?
I know that unlike the steam version you can't just YEET a bunch of custom PAK files in the right directory and have it work straight away.

So obviously that would mean that the only other option is to unpack the base game's own PAK file, unpack the PAK files of all the mods you want to install on switch, merge all the folders together and overwrite where necessary and then repack that back into the base game's PAK file.

But how does one unpack/repack Unreal Engine's PAK files?
I only know how to export models from PAK files, not repackaging
