Homebrew Question Animal Crossing New Horizons: Hacked items stuck in inventory

Telemetry is not a "magic wand"
Lets talk about what is actually logged, nothing about items or where you get them..
The only real thing they can detect is "Why some one sell turnip to 800+ bells when max allowed is 660" cause Turnip Sell Price is logged.
They can eventually doubt about some items and how you get it with "Visit Other Island" Counter if it's still at 0.
But they didn't log about whats in your inventory, or event what you loot.

That's why they can't do anything.
They didn't monitor inventory.
This part is stay in local and is managed in local. In multiplayer you just "send" a specified item nothing more/nothing less, raw data.
They need to add a sanity check "in game" if this item is real/duped/hacked. but if game can handle it and even display it. atm we can confirm that Nintendo monitor nothing about this.

Do they monitor island editing? I've yet to try the map editor but terraforming is so tedious sometimes, and I have a load of flowers I want to remove.

Bro, you should hide this information , they're "private" and in fact nothing is illegal here.. Now you just expose this guy to a ban for a hacked item.. but we're on a site for hacked switch/game/item

In my opinion you can hack any way you want, as long as you're not causing trouble for others.
Therefore, his info is no longer private, I just reported to Nintendo Japan.

Well, his info is no longer private, I wrote to Nintendo Japan again.

It's worth adding this guy's island name too if you can recall it, as most invites are dodo codes.

How did you come across him in the first place btw?

His in-game name is かい (Kai), I can't remember his island name though.
As far as I can tell, he is only active in Japanese and Chinese communities. He used to send invites via Dodo code everyday for people to meet Celeste, and there is a huge gift area right in front of the airport (also shown in my earlier screenshots). Very ill intentions I must say.

lol, i kinda wonder if nintendo uncapped turnip prices just to fish for bans. in NL it was 990 cap and i tested 99,999 in NH and it worked. didnt go online with that save obv. i dont see a reason why theyd uncap if not ban fishing

They monitor and count every square of field you edit.
So with NHSE etc.. counter don't change... data mismatch..

Well yeah but... That can't be true because the save file doesn't know how your island looked originally when you started the game.

There's no cached data. Just make sure you do some terraforming legitimately, so that your counter isn't very low or 0.

Ok I'll continue terraforming...

Tagging you bliss, just so you know.

There is 96 fixed starter Island. They're not "generated"
And this is in your save cause, Pier, airport and Secret island are "presets" and linked to those 96 islands
Nintendo now exactly what your island look like in beginning if they want to.

I had this issue one time when I accidentally gave myself a bad item. I think I just restored my old save or use the save editor to remove the items. Can't OP do something like that or is his Switch unhackable?'

EDIT: sorry I'm dumb, just read that it was a Switch Lite. Sorry OP. ):

Bumping this, as it happened to a friend, except they picked up two "Lost item". (Their switch is hackable though)
Is there really no way to get rid of this kind of items as of the latest update?

No fix in the update so far.
If it is a lost item, I think you may be able to throw it away using a garbage bin or mail it to a villager (?)

To permanently delete those mannequin parts you can place them on your island outside. Than make a new resident on your switch to share your island with. Go on the island take the mannequin piece and then save the game. Once it’s saved close the game and when u open the game back up press (-) minus instead is A so you can go in the game settings of that new resident you just made. Click save data and delete resident. Then click permanently delete resident. It will delete that part and that resident you just made so that way it acts like nothing ever happened lol. Happened to me too off of treasure island
