Emulation Best way to transfer VC game and save from wii to wii u?

Hi guys how are we all?

Just wondering what the best way would be to transfer over a game (Majoras Mask n64) installed using Wad manager on my Wii..
onto my Wii U. With all the saved data from it?

My GameCube controller has just packed up and just finished the first temple but want to continue it on my Wii U using the Wii U Controller

Any replys would be much appreciated thank you

BlueDump Mod (say yes to fakesisgning ticket and tmd when it asks for that) to backup installed titles to wad

Any of the homebrew save managers (or even the official save backup feature) for saves (remember to run the title at least once on the destination console first to let it create a save, before restoring the backup)

Hi thanks for your reply! i managed to dump the WAD onto my SD Card, and i loaded the game on my Wii U at least once..
Im now struck on what to do next inorder to get this saved file over to my Wii U..

Do i have to download a Wii U Save manager now you say?

Hi sorry ive worked out im using SaveMii to restore the save file on the Wii u..
I just dont know where to actually place the save file into.. is it needed in a special folder in the SaveMii directory on the SD ?

Basically ive got dumped the WAD save from Wii using BlueDump Mod and because i use sperate SDs for Wii and Wii U i took the dumped WAD and put it on my WII U SD but SaveMii cant seem to locate it.. its asking for a slot

so i understand if you backup using SaveMii and RESTORE using SaveMii its easier posssibly?
Just to let you know im not using VWii at the moment this save file is coming from another actual Wii.

No, you must use Wii tools for Wii titles (even if you are using Enhanced Vwii for your disc backups. they remain Wii titles that save on , and of course so do digital Wii titles)

Right so I should use the official wii transfer tool then?

some saves will not transfer that way, because they're copy restricted iirc. I think final fantasy iv: the after years is one such save.

I see, Well im trying to do this for Majoras Mask. It was a wad file on my Wii, and im trying to get the save file over to my Wii U Majoras Mask. I dumped the Wad from my Wii. it saved on my SD card as a .wad file also (the save) im just trying to import it onto the Wii U so that my Wii U Majoras Mask will load it up. any ideas mate?
