Im gonna go out if topic, can anyone recommend me a soldering iron kit for this specific task(micro soldering). What thermal paste to use etc. I’m willing to brick(if i fail) a lite/v2 just for the sake of learning so no need to tell me to go to a professional(it’s also hard to look for someone who does this in my area )

Before you ruin an expensive bit of tech. Why don't you look at purchasing a few test practice boards? Have a look for SMD boards, and specifically ones which come with the components.

I'm in the UK but I'm sure you can pick something like this up in the US too - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gikfun-Welding-Practice-Soldering-Training/dp/B00VWB8F8K

As for stations, you're going to want something temperature controlled and it all depends on how much you're willing to pay. A good option at a reasonable price is the KSGER T12 station, you will also need to look at purchasing some additional tips. I picked mine up from Banggood but I know other similar sites sell them.

Maybe watch a few youtube videos too, through-hole soldering is easier the SMD but I'd suggest learning both.

+1 for using those surface mount practice kits. Also take apart old bits of kit and practice soldering wires/ribbon cables etc. To existing components. Have fun while you're at it

No idea.. but that's software stuff

By itself the hardware mod is pretty difficult to detect and it's fixable by SX

This is pretty much what we already had. Not entirely sure on the diff but I would guess if there are any its at boot. Once in HOS its exactly the same as we had

Single boot not safe

Dual boot is safe - Done almost 2,000 switch mods and no bans on dual boot with both TX/Hekate kosmos/Atmos

So to prevent ban what are best practices? You could keep the switch always offline when running CFW.

But is SXOS’s stealth mode sufficient, or maybe 0 out your switch’s serial number and blocking Nintendo Servers also needed?

1. Dual boot
2. Don't do nothing that will get you banned
3. Safest way currently

Thanks for the advice, I just ordered this kit to test soldering on. Seems they have it on Amazon in the US too when I searched.

Not a problem. There's a lot of good videos and information out there about the basics, if you need any more information then just drop me a message.
