So, i was changing the abyx buttons i got too excited and i've put my battery in backwards. The 3ds didn't want to power on, so i tried charging it. The orange light came on, and after i unplugged the 3ds and plugged it back in again it did not want to charge.

I've started reading and came up with the conclusion that i broke the power/abyx board, and possibly the charging ic.
So, is my conclusion correct or did i miss something?

(Also sorry for my bad english, i'm still learning)

Thanks for any help.

I tried a new battery, it now pops which (assuming that im correct) is probably a short somewhere.
Also, i'm sorry for any late replies.

Pops instantly when you turn it on or the blue light goes on for a second and then it shuts off with a pop? If it's the second thing it means that not all important parts are properly connected
If it pops instantly then yes it is probably a short somewhere (probably from the charging/battery IC)

It stays on for 2 seconds or so and pops. Do i need to reconnect everything or specific components?

I probably found the culprit, the cable in the photo is delaminated(the cable splits near the connector)

Try removing that cable and see if anything it changes, it doesn't look like one that's required for the system to boot
Didn't help, i will try reconnecting the other ones
Edit: Tried all the connectors on the top of the board, as i only removed the abyx board. But i heard something loose in there im going to take it apart more and see what is loose
