ROM Hack WIP Tutorial on how to use the NHSE House Editor for perfect villager injection

I followed the thing to a tee

Moved my Folder (I Named ACNH1) back to jksv folder after I saved(deleted the prior first) restore with jksv and nothing changes in the game

Plus the save editor only showing my first 5 villagers rest are blank and I have 9

Edit:

Nevermind

Figured it out, when I put the folder back into the jksv folder I didn't properly put it in the animal crossing folder

Once I did that it worked

It seems that its not working for force move out and invite to my island. There is no dialogue after the villager said i dont know where to go. Any tips? Force move out is set to 1

try not to set flag 24 to 1 and just tick the moving out box outside

This doesnt make sense. the game will remove the villager entirely only if you change the value of flag 024 to 1.

If I want a villager to move out do I only need to tick the moving out box or is there a flag to edit as well? A few posts in the topic mentioned a flag but clarification would be appreciated.

A few questions about this. Sorry if they’re a bit noob I’m still new to this lol

Is there a way to edit a starting villager’s home to their non-starter/normal homes without entirely resetting the villager themselves? I have max friendship and such with my starter villager, Pashmina, and don’t want to lose all that

I also noticed she had some of her original/starter furniture is still there after I loaded her updated home file. Do I need to like manually edit this? Because I gave her a goldfish and its clipping into the sofa lol

Lastly, I saw there was a way to edit their catchphrase. However is there a way to edit their custom greeting or nickname or at least force-promp them into letting you? Or a way to edit the friendship value somehow?

Are there any villager house files that are available without having upgraded furniture or do I have to edit it out myself? Cause it’s weird having some villagers with bachelor pads and others in mud huts with sleeping bags. :rofl2:

the latest NHSE version has some functions added you can try it out

are you sure? everyone in my uploaded dump should have intended furniture. EDIT: Just checked Audie is in her upgraded house. Please make sure you follow all the steps including loading her house dump

im not sure about directly substituting a starter house. you can try editing the furniture manually based on the dump and see if it works

The database here is for a brand new villager with brand new house - as if they just moved in. It will be difficult to get villager's with different level of history and house level - having to rely on players to contribute, with possible errors.

Replacing existing villager with current one in this database will essentially add them as a new villager with a brand new history with player

Clicking yes when importing in NHSE makes it seem like they came from a random NMT island? Unless you mean you want them to talk about one of your friends islands or something?

The best thing about this pack is the fact it is untainted by game progress. NHSE on import handles the villager thinking you found them on an island. Clean and the most legit it can get without actually spending 500 NMT island surfing lol.

My guess is no. You can encounter Raymond again on another island (visiting someone) but will not be able to invite him back.

You can try hacking your save, and change all villagers (and house) to Raymond, but my suspicion is the game may very well reset to start. Do try it and let us know.

So I backed up Cyd from an old save and I'm trying to import him into my current save. Every time I try to load him into a plot, NHSE tells me that the villager didn't originate from my game and asks if I want to update the values. I click yes, and the tool freezes until I force close it. What am I doing wrong?

If you go to the next day, the villager will move out. Sometimes they don't even show as in boxes if you try to do too many at once.
