@louis28800 : sounds feasible. But I can't confirm out of the top of my head right now if mini Win10 PE also comes in a 32bit flavor in case your Laptop does not have a 64bit CPU or is even purely legacy non-UEFI BIOS.

Hello

Sorry probably already asked in the 84 pages of thread

Please why don't you give the fingerprints of the ISOs at the beginning of this thread? It's somehow useless to put them on the Drive with the files themselves, if the drive is compromised...

Thank you for your good work!

@Bibelo I'm only a contributor and not the thread starter, but am letting you know that I don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about - what your exact problem and what your objection is. Please elaborate with more detail - thanks.

English only is the rules. Edit your post and put it in google translate and post it back. It will already much better.

Hi @BuxB

Fingerprints or hashes (MD5 / SHA-1 / etc.) allow you to make sure you have a legimitate file (and not one modified by a pirate).

The author gives the fingerprint of the ISO he generated.
You download the ISO, calculate its fingerprint and compare with the one provided by the author.

So the fingerprint provided by the author should be given via a different medium than the ISO. Otherwise a pirate can modify the ISO AND the fingerprint.

The problem with Medicat is that the ISO and the fingerprint are both on Google Drive. If a pirate manages to crack Google Drive, he can modify the ISO, add backdoors, etc. Then he generates a new fingerprint for the ISO and also puts it on the Drive. See the problem ?

You have to learn english if you want to work on computers.

PS : ta photo de profil est chelou. Mets un truc anonyme.

Version 20.05 of MediCat USB has just been released!

This is a completely new animal... It's been made from the ground up over the weekend using a relatively new USB booting tool named vertoy. (www.ventoy.net) It's essentially a special GRUB2 menu that can boot up in either BIOS or UEFI. You just place your ISO images onto the root of the drive, or in folders, and the menu will auto-detect and list them for you. I have done all the hard work of getting every ISO on this USB image working, and labelled accordingly for BIOS, EFI, or MEMDISK. I have not tested any Windows installers, so your mileage may vary. (Feedback on that would be great!) If you look at the blue text on the bottom left of the screen, you can tell if you're booted via BIOS or UEFI, and that's very handy. There are also F1 through F3 toggles for various functions, like booting an ISO using MEMDISK, power options, and a "List view" that will show all the ISOs on the drive alphabetically, without folder sorting. Some tools didn't make the cut due to incompatibilities, and other tools have made their first appearance on MediCat. My bootable version of Malwarebytes is on here as well, with network support and updatable virus definitions. MD5, SHA1, and CRC32 hashes are now in the download folders for easy hash checking. Since this is a complete rebuild from the ground up, I've also decided to redesign the cat logo; It just felt like the right thing to do for this fresh release. I've spent close to 74 hours working on this with very little sleep, AND working full-time, so I hope it was worth the wait. My brother's death in early March definitely halted life and minor obligations for me for a while, but I'm better now and getting things back on track. Thank you for all your support and letting me take my time on this. I hope you enjoy my labor of love.

Thanks for your work! I just tested it and it looks very nice.
I have however a question: I put the image on a 64GB pendrive and I want to know how can I resize your main exfat partition? There is ~7.5GB free space left on it and I want to put several windows installer ISO as an addition to the dedicated folder. But right now there is enough space for only 1.

Your link for vertoy isn't working. It is a registered domain and pointing to nameservers, but it doesn't resolve with any records. Can't seem to find anything with that name elsewhere.

Love that new logo and menu
Sorry for your loss, good to hear you've recovered

Thank you for all your work!

Google Drive download is capped out because of downloads, MEGA won't let you download it all at once with out large wait times and there are no peers on Torrent :(

I'll see if I can reupload it in split chunks of 4GB later tonight. But I'm stuck at work for another 6 hours. My PC is on at home seeding. Hopefully between me and my friends seedbox it will pick up speed.

Any partition management tool like Gparted should be able to adjust the partitions.

I pay monthly for Google drive and mega, I didn't know they still capped my downloads. Bummer. I wish I could afford a proper file host.

Have you tried OVH(dot)com? For $5.52USD/month you could have 40GB of storage with unlimited bandwidth at speeds of 250 Mbps.

FYI I am not affiliated with OVH in anyway I just like and use there services for other things.

Sounds cool. Might give it a shot later, or at least look into it.

Thank you very much for MediCat USB 20.05.

Any idea how to disable "Windows Defender" during creation of the MediCat USB stick?
