I accidentally removed the SD card while the system was on, now only apps that are preinstalled with the device are appearing on the home menu.

It is a New 3ds XL with sys11.9.0-42E.
I can still run Luma3ds (version 9.1) and Godmode9 but I don't really know what I can do with them.
According to Godmode9 all files are still there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Test #1 - Does the movable.sed keyY matches encryption with Nintendo 3DS folder?
  1. In GodMode9, see if the [A:] SYSNAND SD drive is visible. This is the decrypted view form of the Nintendo 3DS folder, which is different than that seen in [0:] SDCARD ( ).
  2. Go into A:/title, hold (R)-shoulder and press (A) on the 00040000 folder → Search for titles. If you see a list of your games, this means it passes the first litmus test where at least GodMode9 recognizes your titles.
If there is no A:/ drive or the list of SD titles aren't yours, you're going to have a bad time sorting this out.

Test #2 - Are the tickets missing?

  1. HOME Menu → System Settings → Data Management → Nintendo 3DS → Software
  2. If you see greyed out X's marking your games like this, use faketik to spoof fake tickets.
You dun goof.
The games are missing on HOME Menu, and the 3DS does not acknowledge your title collection in Test #2.
That means the database files import.db and/or title.db found in the Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<ID1>/dbs subfolder have been corrupted.

To rebuild your SD setup, you must go through with this painstaking guide:

Thank you,I have not expected an OPEN New3DS when it is ON.My common sense tells me that.:)

I usually leave the back plate off of mine when I'm doing things since ftp sucks. I know some people either leave the back plate off entirely or with the screws screwed as far off as possible to prevent stripping screws.

I leave my N3DS back cover unscrewed with using a clear case to hold the unit with cover plate together, much faster than screwing and unscrewing the screws, ain't that hard to strip the screw. On a side note of installing games, boop can be used, and FTP can be used for light file transfer.
